I'm freaking out right now! A family member came over and kissed both my babies several times and when I looked closer they had a cold sore. I went nuts and started crying. How could someone do this? Am I overreacting? I'm so worried now. You would think it's common sense to not kiss a baby with a SORE on your lips! Can they catch a cold sore? I try to protect them so much from viruses etc. How long do I have to worry for??

 I would call the Ped and ask them what they suggest.

I called the ped and he said just watch for any signs of a reaction and hopefully it will be okay. I'm so disappointed. People mean well and cause harm at the same time. I just pray that they will be okay. Thanks for your support.

That would make me sooo upset. My mom kissed me as a kid when she had a cold sore and I've had the virus ever since. She smartened up with my siblings. I hope your little ones don't get it. WOW!!! What are people thinking. I've used Glyconutrients and silver and I haven't had one in over 2 years the longest I have ever gone. I don't want to scare you, but just wanted to agree with you that you have every right to be upset.

Yes, watch them closely and take them in if you feel anything is out of the ordinary. it sounds like they are doing fine, but it is something that you want to keep a close eye on.
    Hang in there!

Oh i would be upset too. Common sense should tell someone not to kiss them when they have a sore. Hope they don't show any problems. Hang in there. *hugs*

What were they thinking! I get coldsores quite badly and don't go anywhere near the babes when I have one. You are right to call the ped and keep an eye on them as babies can have adverse reactions. Sure they are fine.
