    HI everyone!

I just have to vent. For some reason I came down with a sore throat several days ago and now I have a runny nose, cough, and I feel as if my head is in the clouds. I've been taking over the counter medicine that is recommended by my doctor. I see her again on Thursday. Does anyone have suggestions or is anyone going through this? I'm really not trying to be dramatic but I'm 35 weeks and everytime I cough I feel like I might shoot out a baby! My stomach feels tired and I keep getting warm. Anyway, just venting....thank you for reading this!!

    Hi Summer,
My son brought home a virus from daycare that involves a sore throat. So as he is getting better, I am in the throes of it myself. I'm feeling verrry exhausted, so I know where you are. I'm not quite as far along as you, so I don't feel pressure or anything like that when I cough, but I can sympathize what it is like to be sick in our "condition." I sure hope you don't cough out a baby! ;) Hope you feel better soon.

UGH!! Being sick & pregnant is NOT fun :hug99:
I found that keeping my cold mist humidifier on allllll day long really helped me a lot.
    Hope you feel better soon!

Just out of curiosity angelf, what are you taking over the counter? I'd love to know what's ok when my sinuses get going! I actually need surgery on mine, but then I got pregnant and of course now they can't do it til I've had the babies. My doctor just keeps telling me to use a neti pot and if I can say "I've heard such and such is safe" Imight get him to admit it and let me take something on the really bad days.

Real original sudafed (behind the counter), tylenol products (sinus/cold/allergy), benadryl, zyrtec, and saline drops (and a couple of other prescription type nasal sprays) are fine to take while pregnant. I've had a bizzillion issues with my sinuses/colds since being pregnant with the boys and now with this one.

Oh, thank the Lawdy Lawd Jesus! Some days it gets so bad I just want to stab my own eyes out or stick the vacuum hose up my nose! Lol!

Neumsy, sorry I didn't reply sooner... I've been sleeping! :) I have been taking Tylenol Sinus which helps me alot. Also, I have been taking Zyrtec this entire pregnancy to help combat my allergies. Good luck!

Hi, I have HORRIBLE allergy/sinus problems that just go crazy during pregnancy. . .Not to mention I get nose bleeds everytime I blow my nose. . .But I have been having the same thing when i sneeze-I truly think I am going to shoot one of the babies right out!! I have been getting that more recently even when I blow my nose (which is very often) so I have been making sure that I am sitting down when I do it!! Being sick is no fun!! I have been taking Benedryl too and it is a life saver at night!

Good Luck and hope you are feeling better soon!

The benadryl or tylenol pm is good for nighttime too for when you need a little help with sleeping. They are fine to take.
