DD has been so difficult to get to sleep....naps and bed! I have to BF her to soothe her to sleep multiple times. Today, at my wit's end, I put on that Johnson & Johnson lullaby CD and she immediately stopped crying and was asleep moments later. Is this a coincidence or am I onto something here??? -Beth
Oh I hope I hope it wasnt just a coincidence! It is great to find something that works! I will knock on some wood for you!
OMG! My guys will be 2 next month and they began to fall asleep to that exact cd at naps and bedtime around 4 months! I love it. I ended up going to the website to order another one! To this day, if they wake earlier then normal in the morning, I sneak in and push play and they go back to sleep!
It can't be this easy! Why do they love it so much?? I've gotten three naps out of her today with minimal fussing.
Our girls have always gone to sleep with music. I think for some babies it's just soothing. Try it again, and if it works then you've found something she likes!! You may be raising the next Alison Krause
My Ella goes to sleep with a fan and a lullaby cd and Griffin sleeps with a fan for noise...they love it!! Amen! Keep rockin' the lullaby! My Ella goes to sleep with a fan and a lullaby cd and Griffin sleeps with a fan for noise...they love it!! Amen! Keep rockin' the lullaby!
I've heard something about babies being soothed by music that is very simplistic sounding like lullabies. I had a similar experience, maybe with the same cd. One of my babies was screaming her head off as I changed her. She stopped out of the blue, and I noticed the heartbeat sound had just come on the cd - I guess it was the last track. Ever since then she's gone to sleep with my white noise machine set to the heartbeat function in her crib.
We have been using our baby bach cd since 4 months and we still use it for all naps and bedtime. We put the cd player on repeat so if they wake they still hear it. The say that the baby familarizes themselves with the music and that is why it works. Some people use white noise and that works too! I burned the cd on our computer in case something happens to it we can make a copy. And I have made copies for several friends who now use it!
That is how we got ours to STTN. We played it all night long. It also puts them to sleep in the car or even comforts if fussy in the car.
