Just wondering if anyones twins co-sleep and how long it lasted? Our DD are still co-sleeping at 12 months and I have been thinking about putting them in seperate cribs but it breaks my heart to split them up. They have always had each other.
    Thanks!

We separated ours at around 6.5 months and it wouldn't work for us now because they are all over the place and would be bumping in to each other. They are really wiggley, but if they aren't waking each other up then i guess there might not be an issue. Our cribs are right next to each other and when they wake up in the morning they will play with each other quite a bit still and that is nice.

We separated our guys at about 6 months because they were all over the place, and ended up lying on top of one another! My boys are super active sleepers, so they were keeping each other up.

If your girls are still sleeping well, and space is not an issue, then I don't see any reason to change anything! :pardon: You could separate them when they move to toddler beds or twin beds if you wanted.

My girls slept with me until they were about 11 months then we started to transition them into their own bed. The bed was a custom made twin bed crib. So I could still climb in there with them. We laid them with their heads at opposite ends and they slept that way until last Christmas when they were 5 years 3 months old. During the first two months of having their own twin beds they still choose to slept together about 50% of the time. Now they only occasionally do.

my girls were in seperate cribs from about 3.5 months but when we switched to toddler beds at 18 months they started climbing into bed with each other. now they have a queen size mattress on their floor & they always sleep together. i agree with Valerie that unless you have a need to seperate them, i wouldn't worry about it.

My girls slept with me till 4.5. It was easierbeing a single mom to not have to get up. They slept in the same crib till 14 months

MY LOs are still in the same crib at 15 months and doing well together. They start the night in the crib and move into our bed when they really wake up or get too restless during the night. It works well and gives all of us the most sleep. No need to change anything if your LOs are sleeping well.

I wonder how they can fit in the same crib at 14 months old. We seperated them around 3 months because they did not fit in the same crib.I would love for them to be in the same crib though.however, they are in the same pnp some time in the day to play with each other. But they can't fall asleep when next to each other. I guess there is not enough room

My boys are 14 months and still share their crib. They're also both very active sleepers and sleep all over each other most of the time, but it hasn't been an issue for them. I plan to continue to let them sleep together as long as they want to. If it's not bothering them, then they'll stay that way.
