    Hiya!

I have read that twins like to sleep together when they are first born. How many of you plan on having your twins sleep in the same crib/bassinet for the first few months or until they can roll over and move around a bit? For those of you who have twins, did they sleep together, what was you experience like?

    Thanks!

I've read that also and have purchased an Arm's Reach Co-Sleeper crib to attach to my bed for the babies to sleep in together when they arrive.

I hope you don't mind me posting, because my twins are over a year. But, my little ones are still sleeping together in the same crib. It's one of the most precious things ever to see. They often find each other in the middle of the night just to snuggle. I couldn't take that away from them.

My babies were small enough to share a bassinet at first, but that only lasted a month. Then they shared a pack n play till they were 3.5 mo. Till they started flailing their arms and feet around and woke eachother up (they didn't like being swaddled) So by 4 mo they were in their own cribs

We started in our bassinets for the first month. It worked for us due to our small bedroom (one on each side of the bed). Then they shared a pack and play at the foot of our bed until they were 3 months old. We moved them into their own room at 3 mos, and they still shared a crib. But by four months they were too active in their sleep and were starting to disrupt one another. So at 4 mos, we moved them into their own cribs.

FWIW, it was really cute seeing them all snuggled right up next to each other. But I honestly do not think that they slept better because they were together. If anything, they slept worse!

My two slept in the co-sleeper together for a little while. Then when they went upstairs to their crib, they shared one for a month or so. But then DD started waking up my DS. So they are now in their own cribs, but still the same room.

Ours slept together until they were about 4 months old and squirming all over each other and waking one another.

Mine sleep side by side in their crib. It is so sweet. They seem to get comfort from each other already! :)

Yes, our twins shared a bed until they began rolling over. I loved it and it just seemed so cozy for the girls. We initially started it because they had trouble keeping their body temps up and the co-bedding and co-swaddling helped. After they past that milestone, it just seemed natural to keep them together.

    It was wonderful.

Mine slept in a co-sleeper (our room) the first 6 mths. From 6 - 12 mths they slept in a crib together/with us. From 12 mths - 2yrs they slept in a double bed together. From 2+ they are in twin beds in the same room.

We have never had any trouble :)

My two shared a crib until 6 months. 6 months-22 months, they were in separate cribs in the same room. Now, they are in twin beds in the same room, and I sometimes find them asleep in the same bed.

They slept together until 3 months old when DD would roll over and squish DS and wake him up. Now they sleep in the same room, different cribs.

I plan on having them sleep together until they start moving around too much. I only have the one crib for now and plan on buying another one once they are a couple months old so we'll be ready to move them.

Ours are still sleeping together. We are in the process of getting our son's room together, they are getting too big to share crib :(
They hardly ever woke each other up at night and if they did, it was when they were newborns. In the morning, I can hear them "baby talking" away to each other, while I get their cereal and bottles ready. I am going to miss these sleeping together days!

We never had much luck with them sleeping together. During the first few weeks, we'd occasionally get them to sleep together in the Pack & Play. But by 3 weeks or so (when the fussies set in), one crying would wake the other one up. They also slept much better sitting up (in bouncies, swing, or car seats) than lying down. So by the time we were ready to transition them to cribs (around 3-4 months), they were used to sleeping apart.

They do sleep in the same room just fine, but I think they like their space. I do wonder if they'll start sleeping together when they move to regular beds (hopefully not until after age 3), but at that point it will be up to them.

Mine have slept together since day one in an arms reach co-sleeper at the foot of our bed. They have done really well with it but are getting too big to sleep that way. They do seem to notice if the other is not in there with them. Good luck.

Ours slept together until they reached 15 lbs combined. The did fine but I admit I was a little worried about one throwing her arm over the other baby's face.

Ours slept together for the first four months till DS learned how to wriggle his way out of the swaddle and would pound his feet in the crib ;)
well with one pounding and both learning to roll it was just bound to have DD get kicked so we moved her to her own crib in the nursery and she did great!

We're planning on putting them in an Arm's Reach co-sleeper until they get too big, then moving them to a shared crib. We'll see how that goes. My DH has another set of twins (adults now) and he says they slept in the same crib for the first couple of years.
