Just wondering what you mama's are doing/did with your twins outgrown clothing? I just changed over all the boys clothes - bringing in all the 9/12mos stuff and putting away all the 3/6mos clothing :( . But now I look at this huge pile of clothes and I have no idea what to do with it. For those that are done with having kids, did you give away the clothes (We don't know anyone having winter babies or who wants 2 matching/coordinating sets of every item) or sell them - if you sold them, where did you sell them?

I sell mine at my MoMs club sales every few months.

With my first kids I sold most of them. Now, I just give them away. I just don't have the time anymore to sort through them & get them ready to sell. I think if you can do it, selling them is the way to go. Do you have a local consignment store that sells kids clothes?

I will probably sell some of my baby clothes to a second hand store called Once Upon A Child (I think its a chain, in this area anyway). I know I won't get much for the clothes there, but that's ok because most of my boys clothes was second hand to begin with! :) What I don't resell to Once Upon A Child I will just donate to Goodwill (and get a tax write off).

For non-clothes baby items I plan to later try and sell those at a MOMs sale or on craigslist.org. I've been saving the original packaging on some "bigger ticket items", because I think subconsciously that helps potential buyers. I also may try and resell some stuff here like hands free bottle feeders and a miracle blanket.

With the twins I kept pretty much everything as I bought it brand new and they only wore the items a few times. The items I bought second had that I really liked I saved and the one's I didnt I sold. m2m sales or craigslist.

These days I pretty much give everything away because of the way the economy is. We are struggling to keep up with the thing we need so I know other are too so Im just trying to pay it forward.

We will be giving them away. We got all of their clothes for free (from the baby shower, grandparents, hand-me-downs from other parents, etc.) so it wouldn't feel right to sell them.

I sell all my boys clothes on ebay. Then buy more clothes on ebay using my paypal account. It has been working so far. I do buy clothes at stores too....

i know some women who are having babies that i'll send some of it to, some of it' i'm going to list on ebay, some of it i'll take to consignment shops in the area...we keep all of our older kids' clothes and i promised jason that as the babies outgrow stuff i'd get rid of pretty much ALL of it as they will be our grand finale (jason had a v at the beginning of oct), only keeping the very few things that are super sentimental (their coming home outfits, things like that)

With my oldest 2 kids I kept most of the clothes, lent some to my sis and then she sent back the baby stuff when she finished with it.

Now that the twins are our last babies, my sis is done for now, and my other sis and bro are nowhere near having babes, I have been selling tubs of clothes on craigslist. I throw out anything that's old, faded, ripped or stained badly, the rest I toss into 2 tubs, 1 boy and 1 girl, when I get a full tub I post it and sell it.

I'm also selling all baby equipment as they babes outgrow it, anything that doesn't sell we take to the Hospice or Goodwill.

I'm going to save most of my baby clothes and gear just in case we have baby #3. Luckily, my parents are willing to store it in their attic. We don't have much storage at our house.
