We CD the babies, and since they're almost EBF we just toss everything straight in the washer, no rinsing the poop. But we just started solids today. Do you do anything different with the poop after starting solids? Do I need to rinse in the toilet?

Yes! You should shake solid bits into the toilet. That's all I do. I always do a pre-wash cycle before I do the real wash. (My washer has a pre-wash setting, I just use cold water no soap, then I do a hot wash with soap).

We CD too and have been on solids for a couple months...I don't really dump the poo yet (a ccouple times I have taken thick poo to the potty) as it seems to rinse clean in the washer, we have a nice new one though. As SOON as it doesn't rinse out anymore we will definately put the poo in the potty! :) We also haven't started any protein yet which is when I THINK things start getting more solid? FWIW

we just shook the poo into the toilet. On rare occassion we might use toilet paper to scrape off some peanut buttery poo, but that's the most effort we ever put into it. :)

I love my diaper sprayer, just like your kitchen sink sprayer. It is also great for use in the future rinsing out those potty seats!

OK, sounds good! I'm still waiting to see what will come out now that we've started cereal... I'll try just washing the way I always do (cold power wash, then extra hot wash) and see what happens. Unless they start making real turdlets. :p

I've seen that sprayer thing online - how does it work? Do you need to have a plumber install it?

I ordered mine from Cotton babies, I put it on in less that 10 minutes! Though if the water supply line from the valve to the toilet is the hard plastic you will need to replace that with the flexible tubing.

I used to spray off the poo and then just did a warm/cold wash and sunned dry. Never had any staining on my Bumgenius.

when I had DD in cloth if it needed it after dumping the poo, I would flush the toilet holding the diaper in the toilet and let the flushing action help rinse the diaper out.
