City Mini Double

Anyone that has the city mini double...is there not a way to lock it when it's folded up? In other words, when it's folded up, is there a strap or anything to keep it together? This might be the only drawback on this awesome stroller :ibiggrin:

Hi,

I have the City Mini Double and it doesn't come from the manufacturer with a locking mechanism. It's suprising that it has the snaps to keep it opened so your kids can't collapse it but doesn't have the reverse to keep it locked.

In our walk in pantry, I've created a space to slide it into so it can't pop open. It doesn't fit into our SUV trunk lying down, so I'm looking for something to keep it as compact as possible in there.

Despite this one flaw, I love the stroller and still think it meets our needs to be versatile enough to use in the city as well as be able to easily fold it up and pop it in the car.

I'll let you know if I come up with anything interesting to keep it locked.

Jen, I agree it's such a good stroller, this is just one minor issue. My husband suggested a bungee cord : ).

When we took our City Classic double stroller on the trail this weekend I was thinking the exact same thing!

 

I'm not sure if the City Mini Double is the same way, but I finally found a locking strap on my City Classic Double. It is on the left hand side near the bottom. When you fold it, you wrap the strap around a bar ont he top half and it velcro's shut. It took me 8 mths to find it!

 

I am so going to look for this tomorrow. I love love love this stroller (and managed to get it on Craigslist for a steal!).
