CIO Update

Caleb AND Braxton slept all night!!! I'm really hoping it isn't a fluke. Night one was 1.5 hours, night 2 was 30 min to an hour and night 3 I didn't hear anything but was sleeping pretty soundly so I can't be certain there was no crying. But last night I left the monitor on right by my ear and NOTHING!!! He woke up all smiles at 6:45 this morning...a little earlier than usual but soooooo much better than waking in the middle of the night. I have no idea why Braxton slept all night because we're not even doing CIO with him as he sleeps in our room right now (in his crib). Maybe he's only been waking because he hears me get up to go get his brother? I don't know. The plan is to train Caleb in their room then switch them once he's consistenly STTN. Braxton will be much easier to train than Caleb-he doesn't put up much of a fight. After that, we'll move the other crib into their room and hopefully they won't wake each other up and Stevie and I can watch TV and talk in our bedroom for the first time in over a year!!!

 

That's wonderful news!!! I'm so happy for you and your little guys. Consistency is the key.

Woo hoo!!! I'm so glad you stuck with it. We are doing better here too. Unfortunately, I don't think mine are quite ready to drop all the night feeds, but I'm very encouraged by your story when the time does come!

Our night wasn't too bad either. Jackson woke up twice to nurse, I put him right back in his crib and he cried for 30 seconds as opposed to the 1+ hours he had been doing. I feel like I actually got sleep. Jacob probably nursed several times, but I don't really notice him since he sleeps in our bed.
