Maybe it is a little early but I am really excited about Christmas this year. What are some good christmas movies for my 2 yr olds that I can show them. Charlie Brown? Olive the Other Reindeer?

    TIA

How the Grinch Stole Christmas - the cartoon, of course. I just pulled this out and we've watched it 100 times already. Never gets old!!

The Year Without a Santa Claus - gotta see the heat miser!

    Frosty the Snowman

Never too early!! (In my book anyway. ;) )

My bro and sil bought us a boxed set of the classics...Rudolph, Frosty, etc. I can't wait to show those to my girls. I'm going to also DVR the Charlie Brown shows and things like that.

PS - You need a new ticker!! :D

I agree with Michelle, Frosty and Rudolf are great classics and were my favorites as a child (still some of my favorites today ;) )

Ditto Michelle. My girls really like "The Santa Clause" too. The 3rd one with Jack Frost.

My favorite is always A Christmas Story but I don't know how 2 year olds would like it. They may enjoy the narrative story, my kids did.

We have the boxed set that Michelle has. Year without Santa, Santa Clause 1 and 2 and Christmas Story. We also have White Christmas. They like the singing and dancing in that one.

That's my absolute fave too. I get the fun of showing it to my British husband who's never seen in before! Yay! Now he'll know what Owen and I mean when we shout YOU'LL SHOOT YOUR EYE OUT! Lol...

The only one we've tried is The Polar Express (my DDs are both super into trains right now). They like to watch the first 20 minutes or so, but then they get stressed out by something ever-so-slightly scary that happens, and want to turn it off.

Maybe my kids are missing some kind of TV-watching gene, but they seemed to have trouble following a plot until they were about 2.5. Even with really simple things like Elmo or Dora -- they would watch, but not really pay attention to what was going on. I can't imagine them following anything more than 20-30 minutes long, even now.

My kids like Rudolph (but not the Abominable Snow Monster!) and liked Santa Claus is Coming to Town a lot too but it's not as interesting.

Our very very favorite Christmas "movie" is called "The Snowman." It is sooooo beautiful and the perfect pace for little ones and it makes me cry almost every time because it's just soooo sweet.

This year we might try "Polar Express" but it might be too intense for them, and I was thinking we would try "Elf" this year because I love it!

We are huge Polar Express fans at my house! We just got a new copy on blue-ray and it is stunning! I love the soundtrack... simply gorgeous! (Of course we wouldn't skip the classics like Rudolph etc.!!!)

DH pulled out Polar Express last night as it's one of our favorites. But he did it against my better judgement. He soooo wanted them to love it but it scared the bejeeebeeees out of them. It's too intense and the conductor's tone is always so angry. They freaked, we turned it off and put on Little Eintsteins Christmas special. We got the box set Michelle is talking about too, I'm going to try it soon on them.

We also have the boxed set (my one daughter loves the rudolf one) and we have the year without santa. They love watching them all but their favorite is rudolf. My dh's favorite is the Burgermiester miester burger. They did like the Polar Express but not sure if they watched the whole thing since the girls saw it at preschool. I might try that one with my son since he loves trains.

If I remembere correctly, Olive the Other Reindeer looks adorable, but turns out to be inappropriate (bathroom humor, mention of drinking...I think). I could be wrong about this.

I love all of the classics, Rudolph, Frosty, Charlie Brown, a Christmas Story and ther original Grinch (LOVE the Grinch!).

My guys liked The Grinh Stole Christmas and I just bought Shrek the Halls and was going to bust it out sometime this weekend. They love the regular Shrek movies, so I bet they will like this one too.
