I am just wondering what you ladies plan to do for your families for Christmas.

I am a SAHM with 4 month old boys. We are still adjusting to one income and having two little ones. I am not sure I have too much time to make anything creative (nor am I super crafty), and I do not feel we are able to afford much for our families. I also do not get out to do much shopping. I could do online shopping if anyone has a great website to suggest?

Does anyone have any easy creative ideas? I was thinking family photos... but wanted to get some other ideas.

    :rotflmbo: Come on over!!!!

Since it is our boys' first Christmas, we are giving family photos to most of the family - we draw names with DH's family, though, and my family is very small, so we don't have too many people to buy for.

If I had time, I would buy cheap plastic photo frames at Walmart and decorate them with scrapbook stickers from Michael's. These make nice and inexpensive personalized gifts.

As it is, I am only buying for the other kids in the family. I don't think any of the adults will care--in our family, Christmas is all about the kids. However, I like easgleswings idea of a picture of the twins--I will probably do that for my parents, MIL and grandmother.

We're doing A LOT of baby photo gifts. Check out www.shutterfly.com. I got some great deals on baby picture books and calendars! It's pretty reasonable and they're always having discounts.

I did a lot of photos for gifts, as well as crafts the kids make. It's less expensive in the long run. We had the boys photos taken at one month old, so for Christmas-that was their gift. We've also done photo books-and those are awesome. And usually snapfish.com will have some great deals around the holidays.

Here's a great site: Handprint Art You might be able to find some ideas here. Last year I took a big piece of canvas, and put all three kids footprints on it, and made them into reindeer for the grandparents. It came out pretty cute!

If anyone uses trays in the family(cookouts, espresso/coffee/tea), I saw a tray that was made using the kids handprints. I thought that was a cute idea too!

If I think of more I will be sure to come back and post! :)

Someone on another site I'm on gave an idea of getting photostamps of the grandkids along with a pack of notecards.

I really like the handprint reindeer idea! Cute!

I second, or third, the calendar idea. We get them now for everyone. HUGE hit. And those are usually on sale on Snapfish.com as well-12 days of Christmas or whatever they do. Sometimes-buy one get one free.

    Here's the reindeer:

Last year I also made ornaments with the kids-granted they were older, but I hope to do it again this year. You could probably do handprint/footprint ornaments I would imagine. Here are some that I made last year with the boys:

I also made cinnamon scented ornaments-those smelled really good! :)

Oh-and my friend used the feet to make snowmen. Or-I would get a small canvas-and some fingerpaint-and let the twins paint. Annabella did this last year and she was five months old. It's really priceless-and very easy on the pocket! If I take a picture of it later, I can upload that too! :)

Oh! I may steal that reindeer idea....TOOOOOOO CUTE!!!!!!!!! I agree...now that we have babies, our parents and siblings would rather we get them pictures or something with the kids on it than gifts..unless they want something specific they ask for that:)
