Christmas gift for pre-school teachers?

My DD goes to pre-school 2 mornings a week. She loves school and loves her two teachers and I'd like to get them something little for Christmas. I'm just drawing a blank though. If you've gotten your DC's teachers a gift, would you mind sharing what you did? Thanks!

 

We always get gift cards. I know it's not very original, but I figure these people make very little money (though our daycare pays more than most) and would rather have a gift card than some type of decorative object or "useful" thing they might not need. I give cards to Pharmaca because there's one very near the school, and it has a wide range of things (from medicines to fancy lotions to chocolate), so most people (at least most women) can find something they like.

 

My boys made their daycare teachers an ornament this year. I went to the craft store & got wood ornaments in various shapes. I let the boys 'color' on them with markers & then bought pretty ribbon to use to make the hanger part (it came with cheapie stuff). They turned out cute. I got a mug/hot cocoa set from Target & plan to tie the ornament to that. I don't want to go all out, but ours is just daycare...we don't do preschool yet. I think I'll try to stick to the 'homemade' stuff since I think it's cute. I have a few friends who are teachers & they all love getting homemade things.

 

I got DD's teachers Panera gift cards this year and last year too... I figure it's practical yet still a bit of a treat resent:

 

I've got to figure out daycare teacher gifts too. I'm leaning toward a target gift card but I haven't done anything yet.

 

We did Target gift cards, plus homemade chocolate chip cookies.
