    I've been doing a little research and driving myself a little crazy. Since my babies are due in december and I live in the snow belt, I didn't want a full stroller. By general consensus I've decided to go with the baby trend double snap n go until the snow thaws. So the next issue was which car seats to get. I narrowed it down by advice on this wonderful website, plus consumer reports and of course the baby bargains book. the contenders were Peg Perego SIP 30/30, Grago Snugride & Snugride 32, Chicco Keyfit & Keyfit 30.
    The Elite Car Seats website allows you to compare 5 seats at a time - here is my chart.

    The Peg was immediately out due to weight of car seat without base and price.
    I went to my local lexus dealership to check how to install with latch in my car - I have a 2005 GX470.
    Then I went to Babies R Us to compare the chicco's with the Graco's. The sales assistant showed me in the store on a car seat how they worked and then I brought my car around and we tried them out. The Snugride 32 was huge and felt awkward to carry - even without a baby in it, the Snugride looked about the same size as the keyfit30! We fit both the snugride and the keyfit 30 with both the latch and seatbelt options. The design on the base for the snugride just didn't fit my car and was so long that my husband would have to drive with his seat forward. For both seats the latch system was way better than the seatbelt option.
    the keyfit 30 fit very snugly with the latch and I've decided to go with this one.

    Originally when I checked on the Baby trend website for compatible car seats to the double snap n go they just listed the 5 brands (Baby Trend, Britax, Evenflo, Graco & Peg P) but when I checked last week they have a better listing - as follows:-

    Accepts all Baby Trend and most major brands of infant car seats:

    * Baby Trend - 22 lbs & 30 lbs
    * Graco - Snugride, Snugride 32
    * Evenflo - Embrace, Discovery
    * Peg Perego - SIP, SIP 30/30
    * Britax - Companion, Chaperone
    * Chicco - KeyFit, KeyFit 30

    The manual doesn't tell you how to fit the chicco models - but I found a video demo on You Tube - here is the link.
    Apparently the seats don't actually snap into the stroller but fit very firmly and then you use the strap.

    Hope this helps anyone in the same position as myself - I wished they made it a little easier!!!!!!!!!

    Thanks for the info! What do you mean by the seats not snapping in? Are they not meant to be used with that frame?

    I love my Chicco Keyfit, btw. I have an 11 month old. I chose it mostly based on consumer reports.

    Thanks for posting this! I also chose the Chicco car seats as they fit all of our requirements, and was upset that the Baby Trend didn't "officially" recognize the Keyfit as a compatible seat with their stroller. But, after doing some research online I found out that it worked without any of the metal bars installed so we got it anyways and the seats fit very snugly! No way that they are going anywhere! Glad to hear that Baby Trend has finally decided to acknowledge this, especially since the Chicco seats are a fave among so many parents.

    Funny this is posted cause I questioned this in the 1st year forum. My boys are almost 6 weeks old (still in NICU) and will be coming home soon. We had bought a baby trend snap and go double along w/ two baby trend car seats on craigslist for $40 (all of it), however decided those car seats did not look comfortable for our LITTLE ones. We researched and decided that the chicco keyfit 30 was the best bet. We went and bought them last night and removed the bars (only 3 bars can be removed so it's easy to figure out, just remove the two that look the same and not the tiny one), set your carseats down and them use the straps to strap em down. They are nice and secure on there! Absolutely no worries for me!

    Do you know if Safety 1st car seats fit on the snap n go? I am buying the Snap N Go and my sister has given me a Safety 1st carseat so I am buying a matching one. I heard Safety 1st is part of Graco.
