Do you think it's too early to give them Cheerios? Berkley has two teeth, Em doesn't have any. My Mom says it's not but I tend to think it is. They are seven months (5 1/2 adjusted). They like to hold wagon wheels and munch on them, although they usually only eat half of one. Otherwise, we're just doing formula and stage 1 and 2 foods. Thanks and Happy Holidays!

Teeth really don't matter all the much since they just gum everything they eat. My girls didn't really like cheerios until recently, maybe when they were about 8 1/2 months old. But I think lots of babies like them and eat them earlier. 7 months isn't too young, I don't think. You'll just have to give them a try and see what they do [IMG]

That sounds like a good age to try! Of course you should be there watching if anything were to happen. We started out with the gerber puffs, but then quickly went to cheerios!

Brandon has been doing Cheerios for a couple of weeks. He likes finger foods. All I can suggest is to give them a try. If they are able to eat a wagon wheel they should be able to handle them fine. You will probably have to feed them to them for a while. I just poor a pile for Brandon to eat and he gets about half of them in his mouth and half on the floor/high chair. He also likes Kix.

I started Cheerios with my boys at 6 months with no teeth. The first week I broke them in half or thirds. I just wanted to give them something to do between meals- especially when we were out to eat or something. They love them. Of course, I give them only one at a time and make sure they are sitting up in the high chair or equivalent. I read somewhere 6 months was when they could have them- but another book said 8 months! I think it depends on the baby and when they started solids( mine started at 4 months and took to it real well). Happy HOlidays to you too!!!

I started giving my girls Cheerios around 7 months. At first I was terrified of them choking so I soaked the Cheerios in formula. After about 2 weeks of that I tried half Cheerios and those were fine, so we quickly moved to whole Cheerios.

Lily loves them. They are growing on Grace. Most everything non-pureed she gagged on, but in the past week or so she's getting way better with the textured stuff.

Give it a shot. My two have been on finger food exclusively since 71/2 months.
