Chat rooms

I was just checking out the chat rooms on this site. When I was pregnant, I had been in the Expecting chat room a few times. I notice I still have access to this chat room but I do not have access to the Newborn chat room (I know nobody's chatting in there right now)
I am curious as to why this is

Everybody has access to the Expecting chatroom, but the other chatrooms are reserved for Rewards members.

 

But isn't she a rewards member? I thought to have a custom avatar you had to be a rewards member.

 

Anyone can have an avatar, but they have to follow the instructions here in the FAQ.

 

Nope, you can have one custom avatar (just once), if you want another you need to sign up as a rewards member.

Those who are not rewards members can follow the instructions that Jenny gave for a first avatar. After that, TS asks for a small donation to change to another avatar. IT could be a simple purchase from TS store. FAQ on Avatars

 

Yep, I had my first avatar free and then when the twins were born, I donated the last $3 in DH PayPal account to change it to the one I have now.

Well that really sucks
