I am wondering how much longer I am going to need the changing table for dressing the girls or when I can start to re-arrange furniture or re-designate the table for another use.

I have a separate changing table.

We're 2.5 and still use ours in the morning when they wake up and at bedtime/after bathtime. Otherwise we just change diapers on the floor whereever we are.

I said 2.5 years because we still actually use it -- but only at certain times. Actually just the diaper change right before bed I think.

Mostly they like me to change them on the "Thinking Chair" (a la Blue's Clues, the big overstuffed chair in their room). It's so annoying. [IMG]

I didn't vote. We stopped using ours around 12 mos. We switched to getting them dressed on our bed since it was just easier to keep them both up there at the same time.

Heather, I voted 2 because that's as far as we have gotten, but I still use it! I can't see being done with it till at least 2.5 or 3.

I didn't vote because we stopped using ours several months ago. The girls squirm a lot when changing their diapers so we do it in the crib or on the floor.

Other than number 2, we quit using the changing table a long time ago.

If we happen to be near it we will use it, but if we are in the floor playing, that's where it happens.

did not vote stopped around a year. they were too squirmy to safety stay on table. we use a large changing pad on floor since then!

We have one but ever since they were about 8-9 months old, it hasn't been used. I used it a lot, but now it's just easier to change them where they are! (I did not vote)

I never used one. It was always the couch or the floor. Occasionally I used on the one on the pack n play when they were infants.

We used ours all the time, but once they turned 2 we started potty training and once they were in pull-ups we never used it again. I remember selling just after they turned two.

I didn't vote because mine aren't 2 yet, but we still use ours exclusively and will probably keep using it until they max out the weight limit. (It's the changing table attachment to their PNP -- I think the limit is 30 lbs.)

We almost never actually dress them on it, though -- they tolerate dressing much better if they are sitting on up on our laps.

I didn't vote either becuase we stopped using ours at 12 months as well. I do though still have the pad on the dresser, but the humidifier sits on top of it now! [IMG] We change on the floor, couch or my bed sometimes.

I didn't vote because we are still using it. Actually, in the nursery we never had an official "changing table", we put a pad on top of the dresser (used to be my pre-DH bedroom dresser), and use that. I get them dressed and change diapers on it. There's nowhere to sit down in their room, so really no other option. Downstairs, we have a changing table in the playroom. I am using it less, usually just for poop changes.

We're still using it all the time at 2.5. However, we did go through a squirmy stage around 10 months old when I came close to abandoning it. At that stage I set my occasional babysitters up with a changing pad on the floor, which seemed easier and safer for them. ANyway, squirming phase didn't last long and changing table has been the easiest option for us.

Never used a changing table with any of my kids.

I couldn't vote... I stopped using the changing table around 9 months when they were just way too active. Even with the belt I was afraid to have them up there so I just diaper and dress them on the floor. Now when they need a diaper I put the towel down and they run over and lay down. [IMG]

So less than one year would be my "vote".

We stopped using them around 8 months also, just too squirmy. I just started to use the pad from the changing table on the floor.

With the twins we stopped when they stopped using cribs, around 20 months or so... Joy is 2, still in a crib, and we still use the changing table everyday...

We still use it exclusively for all diaper changes and getting dressed/undresses. We actually don't have a changing table, just a covered pad on top of the dresser, but I can't imagine doing it any differently anytime in the foreseeable future! Personally I find it much easier to keep them corralled when we're using the pad. Also the playroom is actually attached to their bedroom, and they're in those 2 rooms 99% of the time, so we're usually within the very close vicinity.

If we had a bigger house, I think I would have set up a changing table in other commonly used rooms, because my back hurts just thinking about using the bed/floor/couch! Yikes! Maybe I'm just too old. [IMG] The dresser is just at the perfect height.

We used the changing table until they were about 2 or so. They were just too big to put them up there after that.

Wow! This is so awesome b/c I actually came to post about changing tables and here it was the 2nd discussion listed! Thank you ladies! After way to many kicks and squirms, mine is going bye-bye TODAY! [IMG]

At around 9 months, they were just too big! I have tons of stuff on it now, and would like to get rid of it, but will have to just replace it with something else. I will hold on to it until they are done with the diaper thing!

I didn't vote either. We stopped much earlier than 2. It was around 10 months.
