As of tomorrow morning we are CHANGING THE EVER PRECIOUS SCHEDULE!! For the sake of the entire family this needs to happen. A little background..

Pretwins I always cooked Hot Breakfast, Now everyone gets a banana, cold cereal or a pop tart. Siera gets up at 7, RaeLynn around 8, The twinkies around 8:30 and Taylor at 9. I am NOT cooking breakfast that many times.

The babies have also been waking up between 6-7am, nurse and go back down for an hour. Well as the 1st step of weining we are thinking cutting out that morning nursing and feeding them hot breakfast instead and seeing how naps progress for the rest of the day. Sqeezing two naps in between 9am and 7pm has not been easy and they still need two. So we are thinking if we get them up by 7 they will have time for a morning nap and an afternoon nap.

So tomorrows goal... all five kids up at 7am, hot breakfast, Siera out the door by 7:40 for the bus, babies down for a nap at 9am, lunch at 11am, Taylor off to school at Noon, babies nap at 1:30pm, mommy and RaeLynn time, babies up at 3, kids home at 3:40, snack time, 6pm dinner,7- 8 bathtime, 8:30 EVERYONE IN BED AT THE SAME TIME!!! Please pray this works for us, it will put everyone eating and sleeping at the same time and will make MY life so much easier, because not only was everyone eating 4 different breakfasts the twins and the big girls were eating TWO different lunches. I am just nervous because I dont like the thought of messing with the babies schedules. So how does that sound?? :D

Good luck!!! I think the babies should do fine since they were waking up between 6 and 7 hungry anyway. I only have the girls so its a little easier to tweek our schedule, but as of last week we decided to push their morning nap later so that way they would drop their 3rd nap. After 1 week of h*ll, its all coming together! They are actually sleeping better now during their morning nap. So hopefully my girls can talk to your girls and tell them how much a 9am morning nap rocks and your girls will do great! :winking0009:

Good Luck. It is definately harder to get the twins on a schedule in a large family. My first born had a predictable, rigid schedule. But now with five kids it's crazy!! I am just starting to get the am organized for the twins.

Good Luck tomorrow...let us know how it went.

Wow! I'm tired just reading that. It does sound a good idea though.

The only thing I would say is everyone to bed at same time, maybe u can start with the twins and make ur way up to the oldest so they feel they are going a little bit later.

Sounds good to me. My babies are on similar wake and nap schedule like you have planned.I know you can do it. Remember it takes 5-7 days for people (children included) to adjust to a new schedule so don't give up after 3 or 4 days. It will work.

I'm sure like with every change...it will take a bit of adjusting, but it sounds totally doable. Good luck, and let us know how it goes!

So far the morning is going okay, babies went down for nap #1 at 8:45 and it is 9:15 now. And they didnt wake up too fussy (I had to wake them at 7am) BUT the night is a different story. For some reason the babes seem to know when we have company (my mom and dad stayed last night and had to get up early) so I hate to let the babies cry when someone is here and isnt used to hearing it. So they were up and nursed at 11:30 and 5am AND THEN Ashley CIO for about a half an hour right at 6am, so that is when everyone else woke up! Then I woke them at 7 and our day has been going from there. But tonight it is CIO and we are done nursing at night, so wish me luck on that. But I forsee the rest of our day going smoothly.
