Changing our schedule, or leave well enough alone?

Hi everybody!! I guess I am looking for peoples opinions in what to do about our schedule. Our current schedule works fine, I was just thinking of trying to change it a little bit.
Currently my boys are almost 7 1/2 months (5 1/2 months adjusted age) and we are on a 4 hour schedule that looks something like this:
    7:30am awake, bottles and cereal
    9:30-11am nap
    11:30am bottles and veggies
    1:30-3pm nap
    3:30pm bottles and fruit
    5-6pm nap
    7:00pm bath, bottles and cereal
    8:00pm bed for the night

Here is my question..I was thinking of attempting to change them to a 4 1/2-5 hour or so schedule such as:
    7:30am wake, bottles and cereal
    9:30-11am nap
    12:00pm bottles and veggies
    2:30-4pm nap
    4:30pm bottles and cereal (meats?)
7:30pm bath, bottles and (possibly cereal?)
    8:00pm bed for the night

I guess the problem with the last one, is do I drop the cereal where it is only 3 hours since last feed or keep it there?
Should I introduce meats at the 4:30 feeding? Also, they are currently taking 3 naps a day and I am thinking I should try to move it down to 2 naps a day. Or should I just leave well enough alone with the schedule that we are on now that works perfectly fine (most of the time).
    Thanks in advance

I forgot to mention that I am going to be going back to work soon and I just thought 3 naps may be too much. Most daycares I know of have kiddies on 1-2 naps a day so I figured I would try to make the transition now. I guess I will leave it for now.
    Thanks

For right now their schedule is fine, but when you sign up for preschool find out what their naps/feeding schedule is and try to (gradually) go to that schedule. I think that may minimize stress.

your schedule sounds like ours, except for a 1/2 hour earlier. What worked for us, was a bottle after nap, and then dinner (solids) about an hour/hour and a half later. I would skip the 5-6 nap. Especially since that will probably be the time you are picking them up at daycare. If they drop and catnap, is one thing, but I wouldn't make it a "formal" nap.

I agree that if the schedule works, there's not need to change it.

But, if you feel you need to make an adjustment before you return to work I'd keep your first schedule, but take out that last nap and maybe move bed time up a little earlier. Mine only had "solids" three times a day (I think you have it in there 4 times) - breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I give them cereal for breakfast and then for lunch and dinner they have a veggie and a fruit (I think at that age they each had a veggie, but split a fruit). I also separate my bottles/nursing from my solids. They get their "milk" about an hour before their solids. In other words, they wake up from their nap and nurse/or bottle and an hour later eat "lunch."

my babes are 7months, 5.5months adjusted....their schedule is:

    breakfast: 7:15am bottle and cereal
    lunch: 11:30am bottle and veggies/fruits
    dinner: 3pm bottle and veggies
    bedtime: 6:15pm bottle

they nap at 9am and 1pm....sometimes they nap at around 4pm if I take them out on an errand and they are in their carseats...they are in bed by 6:30pm usually...

I would try to cut out the 3rd nap and make their bedtime earlier....

I agree with Sharon, the 5-6 nap could leave, you may end up getting a longer one in the afternoon then, and you will be picking the up from day care then anyway. Good schedule though!
