    Hi,
I have just been placed on modified bedrest. I can get up and eat and bath. My cervix is now 1.2. My 3 year old is board to death? Any tips on entertaining him while on bed rest? :nea:

I'm sorry about that. :hug99: I remember how hard it was and I had a 5 year old. Do you have any friends or family around that could help out?

You could get him that video game for toddlers, V-tech. We have one but our daughter is still a bit young to understand it. It is a learnng module but interactive so maybe that would help him. I know you don't want him glued to the TV but for now, it is okay to do what you have to!!!

I am in the same situation (sort of). I have a 2.5yr old DD at home and was on strict bedrest from 20w to 28w and since then have been on modified bedrest. My DD is a very very active toddler and needs constant stimulation and lot of physical activity. Sadly with no friends or family around, she is stuck at home at me. What helped us most was having a schedule. After bath, breakfast, she would come to my bed then we would read some books. My husband gets a new set from the library every week. Also if there is a toy lending library, u can get toys to keep him busy. We did break rules and her toys and books are now all over my room. Then I would allow her to jump and bounce around the room. We have kept comforters and pillows and have made obstacle courses for her to get some of her energy out. Then lunch and nap ( I dont know if your DS takes a nap). After she getst up, we do some craft or art thing. Then some more jumping around. Her dad does make an effort to take her to park every evening, which gives her something to look forward to and also gets her some fresh air.

If you have help around, you can have a friend or relative drop your DS to a pre-school, or free classes in library or church.
    I hope some stuff helps.
I know its a really tough time, and the feeling of guilt can actually make you get up and play or do things for your DS. But stay put in bed as long as the doctor says, its very important to keep those babies inside. And you dont want to end up with hospital bedrest.
    Take care :hug99: :hug99:
