Hi ladies. This may sound like a weird question, but what's your cervical length and how far along are you? Mine was 3.6 and I was 20 weeks last time it was measured. I am really scared about preterm labor. So I was just curious do you know the normal cervical length for twin pregnancies?

I think my doctor always said that over 3 was fine.

When do they commonly start measuring this?

I think they measure it at every ultrasound...

At 16wks mine was just over 5cm. Now, at 19wks it is just over 4cm. Peri says no worries at this time.

Well I had drama with mine… but my Peri said the same thing, over 3 is good… mine got as low as 2.2 (w/ funneling) I had a Cerclage put in at 19 weeks and we are now at 4.4 (w/ no funneling) and all is good, no bed rest just “take it easy”
they check mine every visit (Either by hand or u/s)

Sorry you had to go through that. I am glad everything looks good now though. Does a Cerclage hurt? That's where they stitch up your cervix right?

I’m glad I had TS when the decision to Cerclage or not Cerclage came up… nothing like having 15-20 women to talk to who have had the exact same situation… I only know one person to have a Cerclage (and really she was a friend of a friend)
No the Cerclage didn’t hurt, but it’s an in hospital procedure and I had to get a spinal for it (I hate needles) … and yes it’s were they stitch up your cervix… BUT I’m very glad I got one… I was bed ridden with my son by the time I was 24 weeks, so every week out of bed is a blessing…

My doctor has consistently said anything over 2.5 is good. Mine has been consistantly measuring at 4 or higher. They've been checking mine since about 20 weeks. Next Tuesday will be the last time they check as I'll be 34 weeks on Sunday.

My first check was around 20 weeks too. It was 2.9 at that time. It was 3.4 today. I'm hoping we can back off the cervix checks a little. I'm tired of looking at it!!

At 18 weeks mine was measuring 6 and when they had me "bear down" it was measuring 5.4 - my doctor was very excited about this.

Wow 4 and 5 cm cervix measurements? Are these your first babies? I thought mine at 3.7 was good. Oh well. My doc said over 3 is great, below 2.5 they start to worry.

Mine started at 17w with all twin pregnancies.

At 20w, mine was over 4.
