Ok So I was at work today and went to the bathroom I noticed a lot of discharge with a very small amount of brownish blood mixed in..I called the doctor he said if it is not red that I should not worry, but I am worried I am thinking what if it was my mucus plug or something I am confused and not ok with the unknown...I did have slight period feeling cramps yesterday for a few minutes, but they went away and that was that. Anyone have any advice??

    Hey there :)
I noticed a tiny amount of blood when I went potty at about 28 weeks...I called my OB & they said pretty much the same thing as yours did.
They told me that if it happened again within a few hours to call back/come in, but it stopped after the one time. I wasn't too sure what the mucous plug looked like, but I was pretty certain it wasnt it.
I would say that if you are having any more strange cramping or more discharge to call your Dr. back ~ that is what they are there for :)

I'm glad you called your Dr. about it Melissa. I agree, if it doesn't happen again, probably nothing to worry about. I know it's hard not to worry though. :hug99:

:good: I agree with Tamara. If you do feel any more odd cramping, call them back. It's hard not to worry. :hug99: I, too, had some brownish discharge {though it was earlier in my pregnancy} and my doctor said pretty much what yours did. They told me it was just old blood. :bad:

i had spotting at 29 1.2 weeks too. they think mine was due to a uti. after a round of antibiotics and 2 weeks of bed rest it stopped and hasn't come back. you may want to have your dr check your urine!
