Cash & Carter

So, earlier on in my pregnancy I was set on naming my B/G twins Cash & Carter. Until on seperate occasions multiple people told me how inappropriate that is considering Johnny Cash and June Carter did have a relationship and that was wrong to name your children that.
SO- it's tainted. But I love Cash and therefore am planning on sticking with Cash for the boy

For the girl, I'm struggling. I like names that are very neutral- meaning a boy or girl could be named that.
So far I have:
Brooklyn
Nixon
Gage
Gia (reminds me of the heroin addicted model though! YIKES)
Cheyenne
Charlie

I would kind of like them to both have the initials CJ- a little dedication to my mother. I don't know this is SO hard.

Brooklyn is a BIG possibility though.
I have no help from the father on names considering we are no longer together. So I don't even ask for his input. Haha

 

I like the name Caden. I think it is originally a boy's name but it could easily be a girl's too. You could even spell it Cayden to make it look more feminine. There's also Cadence (close but a little different) or Candice. Just brainstorming some 'C' names for you. Cash would sound nice with any of these, I think the 'Ca' sound at the beggining makes them go nicely together. Of course... your babies... your choice when it comes to names.

I find it really strange that the same person would consider the name Carter AND Nixon! :lol:

I have twin boys almost 8 months old. They are named Cash & Cole - we get so many compliments on the names. I also have a two year old boy named Chase - which I have heard used for a girl also. I have to say Brooklyn has always been one of my favorite girl names. Whatever you choose will be perfect. We didn't name our boys until we were about one minute from being discharged from the hospital. No hurry!

I tend to like more gender specific names. Ilike Cash for your son. If you want to stick with neutral names I like Cheyenne and Brooklyn

If you want them to have the initials CJ how about:

Use these J names for middle names

Jayne
Jamie
Jillian
Jolene
Julia
Jessica

I'm going to let the father decide the middle names. He is native american so they are going to be something along those lines. Middle names don't really bother me especially considering they will have culture. My last name is JAMES though if that helps with any of the names

 

Cash is a good boy name but don't like carter for girl,you are right,the Johnny Cash/June Carter thing is creepy too! LOL!

I really liked the PP suggestion of Casey. Its gender neutral, which you like, had the first three letters of Cash...and Cash & Casey sound good together IMHO. I know of a girl named Casey, so its certainly not unheard of for a female name. Camryn & Cori would be my other suggestions.

Out of curiousity, if they'd been named Cash & Carter...which one would be which??? To me, both sound like male names...

We will see only time will tell- and I will be sure to let all of you know.

This is ridiculous. I keep thinking I'm going to hear that name that is just going to CLICK and be like "that's the one!". So idealistic.

 

I like Charlie for a girl.

 

I used to work at a horse racetrack with a girl whose husband was a jockey. Their last name was Crissup. Their sons were named Cash and Colt, they weren't twins. My nephew is named Carson, but I have also seen it as a girls name. Just please don't name her Coin or Credit.

 

I really like the name Brooklyn for a girl, but if you are wanting to stick with a "c" name, then how bout Carly, Carrie, Cadence, Cailey, Chloe, Casey, Cassidy, Camdyn, Caitlyn, Carla, Carlyn, or Claire.

 

I've never known anyone with the name cash!
I dont like the thought of naming my child after a slang term for money.

But i know that if the name feels right to the mum then no one has the right to tell them they dont like it.

My younger sister went to school with a kid named Kash with a K... cute kid too. At first I thought the name was kind of odd, but then I really started liking it. I like that it's different so you don't hear it quite as much but not TOO different of a name where it doesn't even sound like a name. If that makes any sense at all. haha. Anyways, Cash is a cool name, with a K or a C.

 

CASH & BROOKLYN JAMES are the names!!!!!!

My son is named carter so i can't really see it on a girl, also if you were thinking of charlie, i'd maybe keep that as a nick name and go for a more fem fn like charlotte or charlize, otherwise someone might confuse them as boy twins do you think? though i do agree that charlie for a girl is very cute.

i also like nash for a boy

and i like cadence, casey, cody (but again could be confused with a boy)

anyhow, cash and brroklyn sound awesome toggether!!! A

 

I found one of the pp suggestions cute, but funny. I don't know if anyone thought like I did or not, but I thought I'd share my chuckle....one of the suggestions was for naming the girl "Carrie". Cash and Carrie....get it? Okay, maybe I just have a poor sense of humor. :rotflmbo:

I had a teacher who's son was named 'Cashmen' or Cashman. Cant remember how she spelled it.

 

My youngest son's name is Cash Riley, and my oldest son's name is Gage Thomas. That is so funny. I've never heard anyone else with the name Cash before let alone Gage. Cash and Brooklyn are great names!!
