Carseats?

Discussion in 'The First Year' started by [email protected], May 8, 2007.

We noticed that our carseats are only good until the twins reach 26 inches. Well right now they are 25 1/4 and 25 1/2. We need to get new carseats and am wondering what kind everyone else has and if they like them. Thanks!!

First of all :sign0016: !!! And congrats on your twins! Glad you found us!

I have Alpha Omega carseats like this, but I am hearing from a friend that has the same one, that they are not easy to take apart and clean. :( I haven't tried yet, but need to!

I really wanted the Britax Marathon, but they wouldn't fit side by side in my truck, so we went with the Graco Comfort Sport in Metropolitan. We just started using them and they seem like a good seat. But it stinks that we'll have to get another seat when they reach 40 lbs.

We have Britax Marathons and love them! They fit in both our car and SUV. They're highly rated and will last up to 65 pounds so it was worth the money.

We have the marathons as well. I can't tell you how they are yet because I have not had them installed. I am planning to do it soon - but our girls are small and can still ride in their infant seats.

I wanted to buy Britax car seats but couldn't afford them so we went with Eddie Bauer Deluxe and are very happy with it.

We like our britax marathons. Check out this web site. THey gave free shiping and a twin discount of 10%. I think it was cheaper then BRU because I think BRU added tax. Also, yo uget to choose from a bigger variety of fabrics.

We have the Britax Boulevards and love them!! Not a single complaint about them, and the kids seem so much more comfortable than when they were in their infant carriers!! :)

We have the Britax Roundabouts but I often wonder if we should have gotten the Marathon.

I have owned many with my 4 boys. But once you go Britax you never go back!

Currently I own 3 Britax Wizards ( older version of the Boulevards) 1 Roundabout, 1 Marathon, and 1 Parkway. I also have 2 Boulevards on order for the twins.

I love the Britax seats! They are super easy to take the covers of and clean! VERY IMPORTANT!!! They are the easiest to install in most cases. Britax also make the Fisher Price Safe Voyage carseats that are available online at places like albeebaby.com

If you decide on a Britax I know a lady that sells them for a much cheaper price, and she is authorized dealer.

Now about your infant seat, the weight limit is set in stone, but your lenght max isn't. The babies outgrow there seats when their heads are within an inch of the top of the carseat shell.

I hope that helps a bit.

We have the Eddie Bauer 3-in-1 convertible that takes them al the way up to 100#!!! I love them. I'm so glad I never have to buy another car seat or booster seat. They are very easy to clean, I thought it would be hard, but after the first time it's easy. What I also like baout them is that they recline when facing the rear position. Also the straps are threaded through the holes and you don't have to unthread to adjust as they grow. You just pull and twist these tabs and the seatback adjusts as they grow! I had looked and many car seats and this one was the best for long lasting, price, easy of installation and convienece.

This is the one that we have- I LOVE IT!
