Carseat question

My 3 year old is 38 lbs so 2 lbs away from the cut off for using the harness on our carseat. I need one that goes above 40lbs for a forward facing toddler. Any ideas? I know Britax meets the criteria. Are there any others? TIA

 

We have the Sunshine Kids Radian Carseat. They make a 65 lb and an 85 lb version. We really like them!

 

Do you use it for your youngest. I heard a great review but it mentioned that it doesn't cradle young babies like other carseats.

 

We also have the sunshine kids radian 80. It's a convertible, so moved the twins right from the infant car seat into those, at around 7 months. We never had any problems with it, and the kids seem to enjoy riding in them. My son was about 22 lbs when we made the move, and my daughter was like 16lbs.

 

We have the Evenflo Triumph Advance and it is forward facing to 50# and not as expensive as the Britax.

I do! We switched her around 5 months (around 12 lbs maybe?). I did buy a little headrest thing at Target to keep her head from flopping around though! (It was $10). It's pink

Another vote for Sunshine Kids RAdian. I have three across my bench seat in my Expedition and LOVE them. My son rearfaced in his since he was about 5-6 months and is still rear facing in his now. We had no problems. If you go on their websites they have head rests too.
