Carseat Nights

My twin boy and girl are about 8 months and they are still sleeping in their carseats! Why? You may ask because our bedroom is upstairs the only one up and the two bedrooms downstairs are just no happening. They like to fall asleep in the car seats and slowly migrate to the bed throughout the night. I want them to go to sleep in their cribs but we are experiencing a bug or better yet a spider problem. But they are still taking 2 bottles at night. Is anyone dealing with twins sleeping in their car seats. I have a problem with noise at this time and my nerves are bad so I cannot let them cry at night. sorry

 

So where are their cribs? In your room upstairs?

 

So you put the car seats in your room and they are in bed with you by the morning, is that what you're saying?

Is there any way you could move their cribs upstairs or do you have a PNP you could put them in?

 

I have my twins in a play yard basinet in my room.

Seems like if you let them continue to fall asleep in their car seat you will have a very hard time breaking them of that habit.

 

I would also recommend putting their cribs in your room and trying to gradually transition them to sleeping all night in their cribs. Perhaps after they fall asleep in the carseats you could carefully transfer them to the crib? What happens when you try to put them to sleep in their cribs - do they fuss/cry and have trouble falling asleep? You could try making the crib as "cozy" and inviting as possible in an attempt to somewhat mimic the confined space of the carseat. You could try putting them in sleepsacks as well because those are nice and cozy without being too constricting. Not sure where the spiders come into play here - perhaps you could explain a bit further.
