Cars that fit 3 car seats?

The lease on my CRV will be up next march so i have begun researching what my next vehicle will be. Originally i had planned to upgrade to a bigger suv with 3rd row seating. Now with gas prices being insane, that is out the door however I will need to be able to at LEAST fit 3 car seats as we are planning on having another baby some time in the near future. SO. I have looked around and I found the Mazda 5 which is like a station wagon type car, has 3'rd row seating and car type gas milage as well as the Kia rondo which is the same... Anyone have any experience with these vehicles? Thoughts? Any other ideas for cars that can fit 3 carseats?? I would so love to be able to get a regular car, like an accord or something but i doubt that will be possible..

It's the most narrow seat out there and can be used rear facing from 5 pounds up to forward facing and 60 pounds.

 

Not a car, but we have Chevy Tahoe. We already had an older Graco car seat for my oldest and I bought 2 of the Evenflo Triumphs for the twins. Didn't work though, all 3 would not fit! We exchanged them for the Evenflo Titans and they do fit. I actually really like them also. My mom has the Graco Comfortsports for the twins and I hate them! They seem really hard to adjust which doesn't make sense since my oldest DD's car seat are probably the older versions of them and I never had any problems with them.

I'm looking forward to car suggestions though!

 

I drive an Audi Wagon and have 3 Sunshine Kids Radian 65 carseats in the back seat. They are 17" wide and I think you could fit 3 across in almost any midsize car. HTH

 

Volvo XC90, had the following without problems:

- 2 RF Snugrides + 1 FF Marathon
- 2 RF Marathons + 1 FF Radian 65
- 2 FF Marathons + 1 FF Radian 65 (now).

 

Toyota Sienna for 3 carseats and a couple extra passengers.

 

The CR-V will fit two Radians and a Snugride or 3 Radians. We loved ours but needed to upgrade to a bigger car since we go on so many road trips and it was going to be hard to keep the baby happy if I couldn't sit near him. We also were planning on having more kids so we would need more seats. We ended up with the Honda Odyssey.

If you are going to be shopping for a new car, visit www.fightingchance.com and get the buying reports for the cars you want. I paid $2100 under invoice for our van during a period with no customer incentives just by using their tips. There's no one on those car buying forums like Edmunds who paid as little as we did.
