Hello ladies! I am currently expecting our 5th child and I am carrying very low. I mean LOW. Does anyone have any experience with this? I see my doctor Wednesday, so I will be able to ask if it's a problem but, I am 16 wks, and this kid is so low, I feel it mostly kicking me in the bootay. The other day, my baby bump looked gone cuz baby was so low. I read on the web (Oh Lord) that this may be due to my having had other children. I guess I'm wondering if this little booger will ever come up out of the nether area, and if not will this cause complications? :shok:

I'm curious, since my LO feels pretty low too. I feel all the movements way down by the pelvic area. I wonder if that's just where the feet are?

I carried my son very low and it worried me as well. Our closest hospital is a 3 hour ferry ride away and during my last few months the ferry workers kept telling me they didn't think I should be on the ferry for fear of me going into labor. Even the Dr. thought I was going to go into labor before my scheduled c/section and had me stay in town a week longer but I made it to my scheduled date and had no issues with my pregnancy. I have read that if you've had multiple pregnancies you tend to carry lower. For me I thought carrying that way was much more uncomfortable.

i hear you on that one - this little guy is so low that i frequently feel quite a bit of pressure, the kind of pressure and discomfort i felt at 30 wks with the girls. complained to ob and she was like yeah the girls really stretched you out. and here i thought a singleton pregnancy would be a breeze. not that its hard, but my crotch just hurts sometimes.

I don't know if I'm carrying low or not, but I've been feeling quite a bit of pain and pressure down low. It gets worse if I stand for long periods of time. I mentioned it to my OB and she said it was round ligament pain.

I carried low with my last pregnancy. It was apparently because my twins were very hard on my abdominal muscles, pelvic floor, etc. and I guess I didn't fully recover (my daughter was born 28 months after my twins). I carried my daughter to term, no prob.

I just went to the OB today because of severe pain in my pelvis. When she did her physical exam she said not only was my uterues tilted down but she could feel LOs butt and had to lift it to get to my cervix. I asked her about any complications or early delivery and she said everything should be ok. She did say that of course there was a chance of early delivery but it was very low. Sadly she also told me that pain was not gonna get any better. I am 24 weeks right now and have been feeling the pressure of this baby since about 16 weeks.

I am not sure I like the sound of that. With my second twin pregnany I hope I don't carry too low, doesn't sound like fun.

it is pretty uncomfy. i would not wish this on anyone. she said one of the reasons is probably that the girls did quite a bit of damage while they grwoing and stretching and i just did not have enough time to recover fully.
