Carriers

What is the best carrier for twins? I would like to be able to put them both in the carrier so I can have some free hands if I take them somewhere by myself and don't want to use the stroller. Any made for 2 or am I gonna look crazy with one baby strapped to the front and one to the back? :rotflmbo: <--mental image!

 

I love my Maximom carrier. I let a friend try it today and she fell in love with it, too (she also has twins).

 

I used a Mei tai carrier on my back and used a Cuddly Wrap on the front. Honestly not that comfortable but it works. I also contemplated using a single umbrella stroller and carrying one on the front but ended up getting a nice SBS stroller so I primarily use that now.

SEE HERE I was still baby wearing at almost a year! It seems complex at first but after you do it a few times, like anything else with twins you'll be a pro. I got to the point where I was doing wraps that even the instruction picture book didnt include.

 

I am a HUGE Moby wrap fan. Comfortable and pretty easy once you get the hang of it.

DITTO, DITTO, DITTO! (You ave to tell me though how you wrapped to get them both in and comfy at 4-6 months!!! Dish, girlfriend cause I haven't figured that one out yet!

 

Luckily my boys' colicky stage only lasted a few weeks. I would wear one in a bjorn or moby and hold the other because i couldn't figure the double moby out. I also own a ring sling and really don't like it, the moby is great when they really want to be close and cuddled, but for going out, I prefer a structured carrier like the bjorn (it feels safer to me).

 

We use a baby bjorn and sbs stroller (I have a 2 year old as well).

I think it is great you guys carry both babies still - I think my back would break! I love the pics!
