The girls have had their first "cold virus" in the past week or two. Claire started first with fever, then ear infection...she is better now.

Carlie got it mid-week. So I called to get her in since I figured it would do the same. No ear infection as of yesterday, but now her nasel drainage is yellowish. She isn't eating all that great either, but I think it is from all of the drainage. May have to call back today.

I was talking to her pedi about how she can roll to her belly but not to her back because she doesn't know to tuck her arms under like Claire does. Also, I told them that we still have to put the Boppy around her to sit up. She doesn't flex her body at all and if she tips she doesn't try to catch her balance and will just fall. So she is going to be evaluated by EI.

Of coarse, my MIL was watching the girls, and I told her about this when we got home. She said that she had sat up w/out during the day cause she forgot. She even fell once and got back up! Today she was able to sit up and stay up too!! So she is making a fool out of me :p .

I am still going to have her evaluated though...cannot hurt. She also mentioned her head shape. She says she needs more tummy time b/c of it, but the only time she is on her back is for diaper changes and sleep. Besides that she is sitting up playing or in her excersaucer/jumparoo. Not sure if she is going to require a helmet, but her head has been like this since 2-3 months and they are just now saying something. We will see I guess at their check-up next month.

My two are always making fools out of me! Anytime I say they aren't doing something, they'll do it! I don't blame you for going ahead with the evaluation though. Can't hurt, right?

I've been worried about DD's head shape. At last appt their ped said he wasn't concerned yet because they aren't sitting up on their own yet. I do try to keep her off her back unless she's sleeping or getting changed. (And I've noticed lately that she tends to sleep with her head turned now, so maybe that will help.)

Hopefully Carlie won't have to wear a helmet.

My twinkies do the same thing! As soon as I say they can't do something, they do it. And vice-versa! Our twins share a birthday, and my Ryan just started sitting up a couple of weeks ago.

Hopefully Carlie won't have to get a helmet. Ryan had one, and though it wasn't fun, it definitely wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Good luck, and keep us posted!

Our twins do share a bithday! Can you believe they are over 8 months old already? Where has the time gone, and I know I am going to miss them being babies. I cherish every moment with them.

I will be calling EI tomorrow, so we will see what they say. She is now sitting up on her own though....funny! However, the rolling part isn't getting any better.

No, I absolutely cannot believe that they are 8 months old. It is so sad, and so exciting at the same time.

Let us know what happens with EI.
