I know this question has probably been asked ad infinitum here, but I need some feedback from people who have smaller SUVs and rear-facing convertible car seats. I'm getting ready to get my guys out of their infant seats (yes, I know they're over a year old and still in their infant seats, but they still are well within the weight requirements; they're small guys!) and I don't know what seats will fit in my Hyundai Santa Fe.

Any advice on what rear-facing convertibles might fit in a small to medium SUV? I want to keep the boys rear-facing for as long as possible, so I'm hoping to find seats that will work for us.

    Thanks in advance!!

    I have no idea. Sorry.

Can you go to babies R us and ask them? I found that they were most helpful.

I have used my Britax Marathons RFing in my mom's GMC Envoy. There isn't a whole lot of room in the backseat of those cars and they work just fine. I wasn't able to tilt them back in her car but the girls were just as comfortable in them.

Our Marathons fit rear facing in our Nissan Murano...but we are small people.

For really GREAT car seat information check out www.car-seat.org

You have to register, but they talked me through both RF and FF installations of my Marathons.

I have a Rav 4 and a friend has a Sante Fe. We both have the Evenflo Triumph Advance DLX. We are both adamant about keeping our kids rear facing. The only trouble we have is when we are traveling. DH is 6 ft and is uncomfortable for longer than an hour in my car since the seat can't recline as much as he'd like. I went to BRU and made an employee help me try several in my car. The Evenflo Titan was my second choice and didn't fit at all. Even if you don't want to buy them at BRU it's nice to see how they fit.

  6. We have Evenflo Titans that fit well in our Nissan Xterra. We can even squeeze in a booster seat or comfortably fit an adult in the back with them if the seats are placed next to each other. Can't use the cupholders or snack tray in this position though, and when we decide to turn the seats around I don't think we'll be able to fit another person back there.
