Can anyone recommend really good car seats and strollers? And which is better, to be able to put the car seats into the stroller or take the babies out of the car seats and then have a stroller that you just place the baby in? I have to register for my baby shower and wanted to get advice on which ones I should register for. Thank you so much!! :)

It's been years, but I loved Graco Infant Carriers with the bases for the car. For the first 9 months I had a double Snap and Go. It was so much easier to just pick up the carriers and click them into the car or stroller, especially when they are sleeping. The double snap and go is very light so it was easier to push. When they out grew the carriers I had the SBS Peg Aria. I hope this helps.

I, personally, preferred to take the babies out with them in the carseat. :good: I LOVED the Double Snap and Go It was the best thing when they were in infant carseats. As far as carseats go, we had the Graco Snugride Carseats and had no issues with them.

I think Im the odd one, but I have always takin my little ones out of the car seats and placed in the stroller. I just always "felt" like they looked more comfertable. My personal thing. But I hear most like in the car seat.

I am a Graco Snug Ride fan too. I would either get a Double Snap N Go or a Graco Duoglider that you can put the carseats in as your first stroller. Yes, you will go through more than one stroller with twins.

We have the Graco Snugride carseats and DuoGlider stroller and so far no issues....I think its just preference on whether to take them out or not (of the carseats) its cold here so we like to keep them bundled in....not that we go anywhere LOL!

This is what we did as well. At 5 months old, we switched over to the Maclaren Twin Triumph. When they're really tiny, it's so much easier to just transport them in carseats.

We got the Graco Safe Seats with the Graco Quattro Duo stroller....we love it...the stroller is a bit of a tank...but it's very smooth, and great for us because we are tall.

We were going to go with a SNG, but felt we would need to buy a stroller at some point anyway and we were hoping this would save us money in the long run...we are happy with our purchase!

FYI-you might want to check to make sure what ever carseat you buy (if you decide to go with the SNG) that the carseat fits...some don't.

Feel free to PM me if you have any questions!)

I'm also a Snap & Go fan! We got the Graco SafeSeats, b/c last year they were one of the few that went to 30 pounds... I wanted flexibility... I believe that the Snugrides now go to 32 pounds. Ours are almost 10 months old and we use the SNG for out and about still. We also "happened" on a better way to put the car carriers into the stroller... we face their feet together. Its not how the manufacturer recommends... and the one nearest you doesn't snap snugly into place, but its pretty secure and you can use the buckle to fully secure it. What it gains for us is that it gives them both room for their legs instead of one having the back of the carseat in their lap. Its hard to explain, but we love doing it this way, the babies get to play footsie and see each other. You can't see both faces, but you just have to bend over a little to see the one facing away from you.

I agree that I wouldn't be as apt to go out and about if I had to unstrap them all the time and strap into a stroller... Even now at almost 10 months I should probably be figuring out how to sit them up inside shopping carts... but the carseat is just easier to snap onto a store cart.

    Good luck!
