Car seat ?'s

I know this gets asked a brazillion times here, but where is the best place to purchase Britax Marathons? I thought at one time someone had posted about a twin discount somewhere?
Also, if you couldn't bring yourself to spend the $$ for the Marathon, what would be your second choice?

I got ours at elitecarseats.com. I think they gave a 10% twin discount, no tax and free shipping. I know BRU also goes the discount but I am almost sure the tax makes it more expensive to buy there than elite...

 

I have good experiences with Albee Baby ... but I desperately wanted the best deal for the Cow and the Zebra (my oldest had the cow and I wanted to have the Zebra as well). So I looked specifically for these patterns.

 

Babies R Us gives a twin discount. As for another car seat, I don't know any others (at least I don't remember from when I did the research). We figured they will be in these ones for a couple of years so it was worth the price and they are rated very high on the safety standards which is the most important thing to us. Of course, I'm sure there are much cheaper car seats that are just as safe.

 

I got the britax but i also read that the evenflo triumph 5 got the exact same consumer reports rating (for up to 40 pounds) and the eddie bauer high back booster even beat britax for toddler seats i think - and it is cheaper- up to 65 pounds. you might know,. but i think the difference is that consumer reports doesn't test for side impact and that is the extra mile that britax goes. - double check me but i read all this online
