My "babies" will be turning 3 very soon. Where did the time go? I really need to stop calling them babies. Anyway, my DS is starting to complain that the strap around his legs is bothering him. Both him and his sister are in the car seats that go from 20-40lbs. We got them after they were done with the infant car seats. My other car seats had expired from my oldest DD.

What are your kids riding in and are they comfortable?

Where did you find them the cheapest?

    TIA

We just bought Graco Nautilus seats for my 4.5 yr olds. They were on the verge of outgrowing their Britax seats by height (though not nearly at the weight limit) but I wanted them to stay in a 5-pt harness as long as possible. In the Nautilus they can stay harnessed to 65 lbs (which they probably won't hit till they're 10  ) and then it converts to a booster seat.

They retail for about $180 but I found them on sale for $150 in certain styles.

The girls are very proud of their big-kid seats and seem comfortable. The shoulder straps, headrest, and crotch straps are all adjustable.

The seats are HUGE though, which may be a factor since you have more than 2 kids.

All 3 of mine are riding in the Britax Marathon. Love them.

My 2.5 year olds are in the Britax Marathons and my almost 6-year-old is in a Britax Marathon in my DH's car and a Britax Regent in my van. Awesome seats!

We're using the Nautilus as well (in 5-point mode). Love them! My kids weren't even 30 pounds yet when we switched but their heads reached the top of the seat and their shoulders were at the height of the strap in their convertibles (Evenflo Triumph). In this seat, they have another hole yet to go on the shoulder height.

We recenlty purchased the Graco Nautilus's for our kids and love them (I love having the 5 point harness option till 65 lbs). I ended up getting mine at Babies R Us for around $125 a piece. I was able to use a 25% off coupon on each of them and then I also got an additional 10% of of each car seat for the twin discount. I am not sure she was supposed to give me 10% on each car seat, but she did and I wasn't going to complain.

I've read some good reviews on Safety 1st Go Hybrid

I still have some time, but I'm thinking I will go with those when it's time to switch over.

I can't stand the carseats they have now. They are HUGE and the straps are always twisting.

We use the Britax Marathons for my car which I really love...and so do the girls. They fall asleep easily for an hour on road trips. For my husband's vehicle we got the Graco Turbo Booster since we rarely use his car for all of us. That one is really easy to switch cars since it isn't all strapped in like the Britax but is not as comfy as the Britax.
