I have to move mine so much that it would be impractical to have someone else install them

I was going to have my new Marathon inspected after I installed it myself to make sure it was snug enough but I haven't gotten around to it yet. I feel pretty confident tho, the instructions were easy to follow and the seat doesn't budge at all. I found good advice for the couple questions I did have at the car-seat.org boards.

We had one seat installed by our local police department who showed us how to do it properly (we had not done it right! he said 4 out of 5 people do not do it correctly). We did the other 3 on our own after getting instruction.

I had the SAfe Kids people do ours the first time and just paid close attention. We move ours to our truck so much, we don't have the time to have someone else always do it. I feel pretty confident that we are doing it correctly.

DH installed the car seats both times (infant and convertible), but both times I then took the car, w/the seats already installed, to have them inspected by the police unit that does those inspections around here. The "inspections" are actually instruction sessions: they looked over how the seats were installed to begin with, then, no matter how well they were installed, they removed them from the car, taught me how to do it, and oversaw my installation of both seats. I would recommend that. In theory (read: if your memory is in working order, which it may not be depending on your level of sleep deprivation!), if I need to uninstall the seats for any reason I am confident in my ability to re-install them properly. Although, if/when I have to take them out and re-install them I will have them inspected again. I just feel better that way.
