Can't get anything done!

Has anyone experienced periods of extreme exhaustion? For the past week or so I've been so tired and exhausted. I'm taking my multi vitamins etc but it doesnt seem to help any. I'm getting enough rest at night so it's not lack of sleep either. I'm also making sure I get exercise daily, not extreme just some brisk walking. But yet this tiredness remains.

I'm hoping this will pass quickly...the twins are so active and mobile it's not funny! My son is starting to climb on everything and he gets himself in to all sorts of difficult situations! My daughter is refusing to nap..its' just been crazy over here this week!

Can't wait for Dh to get home this evening so that he can take over a bit! There are things I need to do around the house but with the twins around me all the time it's impossible to get anything accomplished most times.

I would take them out somewhere, but with dd not having any naps she gets totally cranky and impossible. Also they tend to go in different directions! I took them to the park not so long ago, dd went one way on the soccer field and ds went another! And they move FAST!!! Thankfully though Dh was with, if I was alone I dont know how I would of managed! :blink:

I had them in the backyard and ds was bitten terribly by the insects! I had rubbed cutter anti bug spray on him..but it only seemed to attract the bugs!!! Horrible! Strange but dd hardly gets bitten.

Oh well...I guess I should stop moaning...

I would suggest to see your Doctor. Something similar to this happen to me couple of months ago. My Doc ordered some LAB work and came out that I had a urinary track infection plus I was low on Iron. So she put me antibiotics and Iron pills. I was back to normal within a few days.

 

I'd have your thyroid checked. It's an easy blood test and really worth knowing the results.

 

It could also be just having two 15 month olds running around too. I know I have days or weeks where I feel like this - I think it is just having them get into everything and just not being able to get ANYTHING done around the house. I told my DH I can;t even put in a tub of laundry without them tearing apart the laundry room. Even when he is home it is hard until they go to bed if you want to straighten up since they just get into everything.

OR... it could be something else. It never hurts to get seen by a doctor.

Thanks for the replies! I think I'm just totally exhausted! I need my batteries recharged! I'm going to go out alone tomorrow for a couple hours. Let's see if that makes any difference. If not, I'll most definitely go see my doctor.

It is totally that age. I posted about this a couple months ago. I thought there was something wrong with me, I was soooo exhausted at the end of the day that I would completely crash by 9 o'clock. There is something about being at home with them all day that is so tiring. I started working a couple months ago and I have sooooo much more energy. I get up earlier, go to work all day, come home and make dinner, feed babies, get them ready for bed and I am still not as tired as I was when I was home with them all day. :hug:
