Just curious.....I just read one of my emails from babycenter and it said alot of 23 mo. olds can draw a circle on paper with a crayon and undress most of themself. Mine sure can't do that, can yours?

    Thanks!

Only one of mine can draw a circle and they can only take off their shirts...not pants yet...but I'm not worried about it because I kind of like it that they can't get their pants off yet because it would be naked time ALL the time if they could! lol

 wow! Opps, my two missed that memo!

They definately can't draw a circle, and getting undressed they do okay. They can't take out their arms from the sleeves, but pull it over their head, pull down their pants and socks off. I guess I have to start working on these things with them. :umm:

Mine definitely couldn't. MAYBE Melissa could draw a sorta-circle. And maybe Jade could get stuck in her shirt. But no.

Yes, T&T could draw a circle by age 2. I didn't write down when they learned this but I know that I checked it off on their 2-year checkup questionairre (it was also on the 3-year questionairre so I don't think it's a skill that is expected by 2). They were undressing entirely just after their first birthday but they're NOT normal in this regard.

they can both put their pants on so I think they could both take their pants off if they tried, but I guess they haven't thought to yet - and I'm ok with that! Natalie can put her shirt on if you bunch it up around the neck hole and hand it to her, Hannah not really interested in trying - shirts are harder to get off, so for those I would say no. They can do velcro shoes and socks.

neither do anything but scribble yet with crayons/pens

the girls could dress and undress themselves, but not draw circles with any real intent.

dd can draw loops, but not circles if that makes sense. She insists on dressing/undressing herself & won't let me help; has for a long time now. Ds, on the other hand, will just hold his crayons in a fist & jab them at the paper and would stay in jammies 24/7 if I let him. :)

They can both take their diapers of :D

And dd can pull her pants down to some extent, she's also a champion in undoing her arms out of the tank top straps?!

My oldest was older, closer to 2 1/2 - 3, when I just had the twins ... then she had to get busy!

One of mine can sort of draw a circle, and always attempts it when prompted. She can also undress herself.

The other one, definitely not, to both things.

Mine can get totally undressed and dressed (I constantly go into a room and find 2 naked toddlers!) They can draw circles but they wouldnt be able to draw one if prompted as they dont really know what a circle is!!

Mine are a little younger, but I doubt in 3 months they will be able to draw a circle. They scribble, thats it. They have learned the wonderful skill of undressing though. Ug.

Our girls will be 2yrs next week. No, they can not draw a circle. One can undress herself completely the other one can't take her clothes off but can take off her shoes and coat.

I had one that could draw circles around 21/22 months (she is still a BIG drawer and artistic) and the other drew loopy like scribbles unitl 26 months or so.

Neither could undress at 24 months (except socks!). One undressed around 26/27 months and the other not until about 32 months earlier this summer!

Both of mine could draw circles before age 2 (it was something that they worked on at EI). But only one could undress herself, the other didn't even want to try at that age.

Eli can definately draw circles, when I ask him to, and on his own and he'll say circle. He's not interested in undressing, though. Recently a couple of times he half tried to take off his shirt at bedtime when asked, but that's it.

Natalie is all too skilled at dressing and undressing. It's one of her favorite pasttimes. She hasn't shown me any circles yet, though.

My son is an expert at taking his socks off. He can take his pants off and shirt if he really tries but doesn't usually and he won't even attempt to dress himself.

As for drawing a circle we have just started letting him use crayons and such because before his favorite pastime was to break them and just throw them all on the floor. Even now we try no to give him anything that writes to often because in a blink of an eye he has drawn on our doors in our house. We didn't even see him do it and I was in the room with him.

I'm thinking a prerequisite to drawing a circle on paper with a crayon would be taking the crayon out of their mouths - so no, they can't draw a circle!

Mine were undressing by 17 months, and re-dressing by 18 months. They can put their pants, socks and shoes on no help and amazingly on the right feet too! They still have a hard time with shirts though, and would rather to put the pants on their heads (though they do know how to wear them correctly) than on their legs! LOL Right now they are only 21 months.

Circles, I'm not to sure. They scribble a lot. They do have art class at daycare though so they may be able to draw circles, I just haven't seen it yet....

Allison started drawing circles this past winter (right around 24 months) and now can draw a stick man--head, nose, eyes, mouth, hair, legs and arms with circles for hands and feet--very proud of her. Sarah, on the other hand, just started drawing circles around August and still only does it when asked. She prefers to just scribble all over the paper. Allison has always done much better with fine motor skills where Sarah is much better at the things that require gross motor skills (she's a fantastic climber).

DD can take off pants and short sleeve shirts. shes been having trouble with long sleeves (now that its colder) DS can do both with assistance.
Neither can draw a circle on demand, but when drawing/scribbling, they have some on the paper.. Does that count? :)
