I just posted an entry in my blog and thought my fellow 1st year twin mamas could relate.

BLOG POST: PREPARE TO ENVY ME

I don't even want to think about the fact that I need to buy a bathing suit too. LOL

Anyone have success shopping with the little ones? Any tricks to help?

To make matters worse my kids have all name brand clothes. My new mantra...make that whine...is, "It's never about me" (insert pout)

That was great! I have no helpful hints, as shopping for clothes, where I had to try things on, would be something I would NEVER do. EVER! LOL! But-shopping in general with them, has always been pretty decent overall. Lots of snacks, toys, and books work wonders!

That was great!! hehe. When I go shopping for myself, I leave the kids at home with Jason. He doesn't get a choice in the matter. I simply say "I'm going out, I'll be back later" and out the door I go. He can handle the kids fine on his own. They've all managed to stay in one piece with no needed emergency room trips or anything of the sort while I was gone. I highly recommend this approach.

I can totally relate! To make things worse, my daughters like to having a running commentary on things. "Mommy how come your belly hangs over those pants?" "Mommy your boobies are too big for that shirt" Oh and my 4 year tells you the brutal truth. What I do now is buy what I like, try in on in my room at night when the masses are sleeping and return what doesn't look good the next day.

Yep, I love what comes out of my 5 YO's mouth. :faint:

If I have kids with me, I do this. And if I am lucky enough to go shopping by myself, I get a large Mocha from Starbucks and savor quiet time in a dressing room ALONE!!!!! I have even wondered if anyone would notice if I just took a little nap

 The picture in my mind of you doing that is hilarious, Rachel!

I try my best to shop alone. The few times I have tried to take some or all of the kids, I end up leaving the store with nothing.
