When I was 10 weeks pregnant, I didnt know it was with twins yet, I had an impacted wisdom tooth that was so infected my whole face was swelling up. I couldnt take the discomfort anymore and went to the dentist. She recomended that I get them pulled ASAP because of the way they where growing in and how infected they where. I wouldn need to be"knocked out" they where so impacted and they told me that it would be ok to do after my first trimester. I just couldnt do it, I was to nervous about the affects it would have on the baby. They even prescribed me oxycodone for the pain and I was so high after 1 i stopped taking them because of the baby. My point is your pretty far along that maybe it would be ok. The dentist gave me the ok, but I was the one who decided to wait. My tooth never bother me again until they where 2 and then it was no problem getting them pulled. This probably didnt help you much but thought I would share my experience. Will they give you local anethetic or have to put you under?

Do you have a cavity in the tooth that is causing the pain? If so maybe you could just get it filled temporarily until after the babies deliver in only a few weeks. I had to get my wisdom teeth pulled, but at least for me it was a month before I got pregnant with my son, as I got knocked out for the pulling.

I was having wisdom tooth pain while pregnant with my 1st daughter, I tried to ignore it and it finally went away, didn't bother me again until right before getting pregnant with my son. (I got pregnant 7 months after having and losing my daughter)

Me personally, since you are so close to delivery, would just wait to get it pulled, get it filled if you need to, but 5-7 weeks is not that long to go until the babies come and then you can feel comfy about getting it pulled without causing any possible harm to the babies. Plus you can get knocked out or get the good pain meds should you need that.

Best wishes in whatever you decide and congrats on almost getting to see your babies.

i got a wisdom tooth pulled when pg with my first. they just gave me a shot w/out gas and i didn't need anything for pain afterwards. the shot won't hurt the babies. if you can manage with just the shot, i would do it...
