So, I have heard women who say their sex drive goes up during the second trimester. I am still waiting for mine  . Curious to what the rest of you have to say on the subject!

My OB put the kibosh on intercourse pretty early on -- "Kick loverboy out of the bedroom" is what he said, LOL -- so my poor DH has been out of luck all this time, even had I felt like (which I didn't)!

I've heard that depending on the sex of your babies affects your sex drive. I still had morning sickness until 18 weeks, but that sure didn't affect my drive at all. However when I was pregnant with my son, I never wanted to do anything. I felt ugly and had no desire to be touched. This pregnancy however.... wow what a difference! I'm having girls and well... there is a very strong drive. We had a miscarriage prior to this pregnancy so I wouldn't let him touch me until after the first ultrasound, then only once until we hit 13 weeks. For a while it was like we were teenagers again! I loved it, until we found out we were having twins and they were girls. It kinda freaked me out or something. But I got over it! The drive decreased quite a bit when I got the purple swollen woohoo but this past week it's returned (we haven't done anything in over a month until this week.) I'm so sorry if all that was TMI!!

Ditto here. If he even looked at me I would get nauseous. On top of that, my OB called it quits for us around 20 weeks.

not TMI for me!!!! Thanks for all your post. I feel as though I should load my DH on the stuff, cause I know I really won't feel like it when the twins arrive! My poor DH :(

My sex drive is very very high right now. Just dh touching me turns me on. I am having b/g twins. I have always had a high sex drive in the 2nd part of the pregnancy though with all my pregnancies. My dr said sex was okay until I start dialating which hopefully will be a long time away. The only thing I dont like is that sometimes we have to invent a new position b/c my belly is getting bigger.

I've just hit six months and seem to want it more than even before I was pregnant! No complaints from HD!

i don't really want it, and it doesn't even feel good (the latter i think really is psychological), but we still try because sometimes i really do want it, and i feel so bad for my overly-horny husband! :unknw:

With the twins, no way. I was way to sick and miserable. Plus, like many of you, at 20 weeks the Dr. said no more, and we hadn't done it anyway, since I had been so sick. Let's just say, my Dh was a saint.

With Joy, I was a lunatic. I wanted it all the time.... He was in heaven. It think we stopped at around 35 weeks, because I started to spot after and it freaked me out. My Ob said it was fine, but I didn't want another preemie, so we stopped!

Mine went down. I wasn't sick at all and wanted it quite often, now its maybe 1 time a week, just to keep dh from going crazy. I asked him what he was gonna do if he was cut off by the dr? since hes been pretty spoiled this pg..most of the time I get my drive back in the 2nd tri but dont have it in the first...weird.

We've done it 4 or 5 times since embryo transfer. poor daddy. I could care less though. With dd I was pretty normal or more interested than normal.

NOTHING HERE!!! Even if it had I was already too big to find any comfortable position. I think we attempted it two or three times my whole pregnancy. My peri also told me that after 24 weeks I was not allowed any sexual activity, due to ptl issues. Now that I have them things still havn't picked up because of the recovery from the c/s. Hopefully things will pick back up soon

I wanted it ALL the time with our first. That second trimester hit and I was all over DH! But, with DS2, I hit about 16 weeks and even the way he smelled made me want to throw up. He couldn't even touch me or I'd cringe. This time, I think I'm just too tired to even think about it. I'm so big and uncomfortable and HOT...oh my LORD I'm hot!

I figure we might as well get used to not doing it now. There's NO way we'll have any time alone with four kids!

(oh, and we have all boys, so I'm not sure if gender matters)

Mine is definitely increased and that started about week 10 or so. I have to say so far, this is the best thing about being pregnant!! I really hope this continues at least through the entire 2nd trimester.

With my singletons it wasn't a problem, but this pregnancy has been different. My Elephant Who-Who (swollen, purple) has made it uncomfortable for a while, but I'm still going about once a week for the sake of my poor DH! I feel bad for him though, because now that I'm "big" the only variety is "Babe, do you want me to lay on my right side or my left side?!" That's the only way that it is even remotely comfortable!

I'm glad I'm not the only one. I will remind DH that some men have to go for months without!

I am with moontwins on the drive right now! DH can look at me cross eyed and I am ready to go. people kissing on tv makes me want him....whatever. I am trying to remind him that with DD I got the whole swollen hooha so we should go to town now to get our fill. I know after the babies are here we will have a dry spell too so....we are trying to get it in while we can. But I was a definite no-go in the first tri! too :bad:

Wow, what a change from pregnancy to pregnancy. I was a huge horn ball with our son & now, NOTHING!! I don't understand it. My poor hubby. He's lucky to get any action every week & a half. Before, I couldn't keep my hands off of him even with morning sickness for 7months.

We had sex today & half way through I was having a hard time breathing. I had to use my inhaler (I have it from when I was sick with a upper respiratory infection, not for asthma) just to catch my breath.

Also, I am feeling very uncomfortable at 18 or 19 weeks. It hurts when I have been on top so that has been out. Any tips on finding a "good" position?
