Can they sleep together?

Discussion in 'The Toddler Years(1-3)' started by three_precious_girls, Jul 20, 2007.

My girls love sleeping in the same crib...in fact they reach for each other if one is missing. How long can they realistically sleep in the same crib? They are now 15 lbs and take up a lot of room in the crib. Should I just let them stay in there together and then transition them to a bed together or should I try to seperate them? I know a lot of people talk about appropriate times to seperate, but what if they dont want to?
BTW even when they are touching each other etc in the crib they dont wake each other up or cause extra fussiness. They are perfect cribmates....

If they are not waking each other I would leave them alone. E&E started waking each other as soon as they started rolling so the had to be separated.

If they aren't disturbing/waking each other, I don't see why you would HAVE to separate them. Are they rolling all over each other yet?

  3. No, they arent rolling on each other (they really like to be snuggled up in their own blanket right next to each other) I was just concerned about them getting too big for the crib together.... maybe they will accomodate and make room for each other!

If it ain't broke don't fix it.....

We never had two cribs. My boys slept together until almost 18 mo, then we got two toddler beds. Probably doesn't work for most people but it did for us.
