Can I take anything?

So I just had a cold for a week and got over it last Thursday and I woke up this morning and felt like all those days combined into one. Did that make since? I feel awful!!! I woke up at 5 and couldn't sleep because I felt so bad. I've had a temp between 100.4 and 100.8 so not too high but I was wondering what is too high when your pregnant? I remember the doctor mentioning it but I can't remember. My entire neck hurts and so do all my bones and joints. I can barely swollow (sp?) so I of course have not drank enough water today and my head has been pounding all day. And I've been really nausious off and on. I tried tylenol but it didn't do anything as usual. Is there anything I can take? I would call the doctor but it's Sunday and they just have an answering service that says if it's an emergency go to ER or labor and delivery. O and my stomach is really sore just touching it makes it hurt. I can feel the babies kicking so I don't think anything is wrong with them but they have kicked more today than other days so I don't think they like this either. Thanks for your help.

I think my OB told me whatever is higher then 100.3 CALL HIM. I don't wnat to scared you but my OB explain to me that the fever is bad for the spinaldevelopment during that time. so please call him and might be tak the tylenol.

 

I would call. If you can't get your doc, maybe call L/D. I hope you feel better soon. :hug:

 

I second scorpion and becky. CALL YOUR DOCTOR! If he cannot get back to you, call L&D. Make sure you tell them all the details - especially about your tummy. I am sick now too and called my doctor this morning. He wants me to go to L & D with fever over 100.5 and specifically asked if my belly hurt. If L & D wants you to come in, by all means do it - it maybe nothing serious, but you do not want to take any chances. God bless Courtney.

 

I would call L&D today because they always have doctors on call there and I'm sure they'll be able to give you an answer

 

Since I am less than 20 weeks they say to go to the ER and they are not nice there. Last time I went they kept me 6 hours and I am convinced it was just to milk my insurance. They charged my insurance $3000 just for me to sit in a bed for six hours and them to tell me what I was feeling was normal. Stupid. And then they gave me an ultrasound and she was a TOTAL B****. Even called the doctor while I was in the room and was like what am I supposed to be looking for this is so stupid and yelled at me for not telling them it was twins when it was in my chart! I told 3 people who didn't care but wrote it down and then I guess the two who did didn't give me a chance to speak and didn't read the paper. I really don't want to go back there again.

Please take the tylenol it should low your temperature. and try to sleep more.

 

When i was sick i had a bad cold my doctor told me to take tylenol cold medicine. SHe said anything tylenol is safe. That and cough drops, i got the halls but without menthol. THe other ones make me sick. I hope you feel better!!!
