Hi, I´m also new here, my name is Carol, I have 3 boys aged 10, almost 8 and another who will be 2 at the end of the month. I´m 25 weeks pregnant with 2 more boys!! I´m very happy, but sometimes I´m terrified!

I went to my OB on wednesday and one of my babies is breech (baby A) and the other is tranverse. Is there something I can do to make them both vertex? My 3 sons have been delivered vaginally and I really want to avoid a c-section. My last one was breech until 35 weeks, I began crawling and doing pelvic tilts and he turned vertex. But I´m wondering if this methods will help with 2 babies. My Dr. wants to deliver vaginally ONLY if both of them are vertex.
Thanks, and hoping to meet each one of you,

    Carol

Congratulations on your pregnancy and welcome to twinstuff! I don't know of any tricks to get your babies to turn but there is still plenty of time. My boys ended up both breech, though I was destined for c section because my ob doesn't do VBAC's, but my baby A was vertex right up until the last week before he went breech. Good luck- I hope they turn for you!! :)

Congrats on your twins!!! Sorry I don't have any advice for you, I'm a first time mom with twins and my gynae just told me ytd that I'll probably have c-sec cos my twins are not showing any signs to turn - they're both happily tranverse.

Congrats and welcome! I am also 25 weeks pregnant with two boys!! :) These are my first though.
My boys were both breech as of all the ultrasounds done so far, but I've been told there's still time for them to turn head-down. I am REALLY hoping to avoid a c/s too so I hope both of us are able to get those babies turned!

I am 29 weeks and since the beginning of getting u/s's at 11 weeks they have moved. It looks like baby a might be head down for good as she has not moved from being head down since 24 weeks, but baby b moves all the time. You have lots of time for them to move.

Congratulations and welcome! Mine were transverse up until about 30 weeks, then A turned vertex, but B didn't turn vertex until 38 weeks! I followed the recommendations at Spinning Babies, especially the inversion and the rebozo sifting. (Both of which felt wonderful so I figured they were worth it even if they didn't help!) Anyway, something must have worked! Crawling is good, too, I think. Hope they get their little heads in place for you.

Well, I can tell you that both of my babies are full on breech with their heads under my ribs and I have been seeking turning advice for months now. Here are the things that you may be told: Some chiropractors specialize in prenatal and can help by opening up you sacro... joint; accupuncture, www.spinningbabies.com; pelvic tilts, laying head down over the edge of the couch so as to allow them room to turn and open up the pelvis; talking to the babies and asking them nicely to please turn around and explaining the benefits of vaginal birth; sleeping with your pelvis above your head (this is so uncomfortable); putting soothing music towards your pelvis at a very low voume so that babies will want to turn to hear it, and also making loud screeching noises towards your belly button to "frighten" baby to a head down position; massage; prayer. I believe strongly in natural birth and have tried ALL of these things to avoid a C-section and my babies are still breech at 36 weeks and 4-days. I do know that unlike a singleton pregnancy, it is not possible to manually turn them; I also know that as long as Baby A is head down, a vaginal delivery should be attempted. Also, my doctor has told me stories of babies turning during labor so I am requesting that I be allowed to labor for awhile before heading staright for the operating table. There are no midwives or doctors in my area that will attempt a breech/breech vaginal delivery, I am bummed over it but still hopeful.
