Can babies have growth-spurts in utero?

I wonder if they have growth spurts and that is why some days I feel much more ravenous than other day - along with being much more tired.

Like my son, he has days in a row where he sleeps late, eats a LOT of food, and then BAM! He gets leg cramps and shoots up another quarter inch or more.

So, comparing the two .... I wonder if they have growth spurts in utero? Just a silly little pondering, I suppose... but I DO wonder!

 

I hope so. My boys were measuring a week behind last U/S. I feel a lot bigger now and I hoping they've caught up a little.

 

I think so… but only because I can wear a shirt one day, go to sleep and put that shirt on again the next day ( only to wear until I get my shower) and it not fit… so I think mine can grow over night

 

I think so. My belly sure seems to have growth spurts. :lol:

I've often wondered the same thing ......

I didn't notice it as much with my last PG. Maybe it's a bit more obvious with 2!

 

Yes, they do. There is a huge growth spurt around 16-20 weeks where they double their size. That's why a lot of ladies don't really start showing until about this time. I don't thing the other growth spurts are quite as dramatic as the 4-5 month one. I think your hunger would be a really good indication of a growth spurt.
