Hey moms----We are trying to come up with names for my grandtwins. I love looking at everyone's posts and seeing what the twins names are, so I thought I would post this thread and ask everyone to post their twins names. My daughter says she never realized how hard it would be to come up with two names! Thanks for your help! Nana

As a side note----her four old son is named Aidan.
She doesn't know for sure what she's having.....she's 15 weeks along, and I know it sounds stupid, but I think she is really stressing about names.

My boys are named after family but here they are: Clayton Jeffrey and Cooper Thomas

If we had had girls they would have been Emma Grace and Abby Jane.

I wanted to name them Cooper and Aiden or Brayden (so they wouldn't have the same initials).

    Oh, and CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!

We decided to just go with two names we loved and would have used for two singletons. Our twins are Natalie and Hannah, big sister is Rachel. Does she know what she is having yet? Names are hard!! Good Luck :)

Do you know what she is having?

I wanted 2 names that sounded good together, but not rhymy or too similar. My girls are Amelia Margaret and Lily Marie.

We also just went with two names we liked and didn't clash together - Grant Edward (middle name is my husband's father's name) and Allison Marie. We compromised on whether or not we wanted to know the sex of our babies. We decided to ask if they were both the same or one of each. If the same, we'd leave it at that and not ask what they were. They told us they would be both the same. So we had two girl names we liked (Allison & Jessica) and were still torn on the second boy name. We were sure (pleasantly) surprised when they came out one of each! So luckily we never had to worry about the second boy name.

We each picked out a girl name and boy name that we liked. If we really hated the other person's name we could veto but it turned out we were fine with what the other had chosen. I chose Emma and Logan and he chose Mia and Blake. We ended up having two girls.

We picked our names since they were the only two names that my dh and I could agree on. I don't recommend telling ANYONE else what names you have decided (your family and friends) since SOMEONE will not like the names based on SOMEONE they don't like. Also you don't want fellow preggos you know to use those names.

Try to find out what is popular right now since you might not want too many of the same name in their class. Don't feel forced to call them after a grandfather, or grandmother. I also wanted "soft" sounding names not hard harsh sounding names. The softer names sounded sweeter to me. So I started by picking letters I liked... "S" and "M" I also didn't want a short form for their name.. I love Francesca but not "frannie". Oh I liked the stronger names for boys.

I love Pace, Melita, Milani, Amelia, Shayne, Angus, Gavin, Jack, Jake, Fiona, Yanna, Sonja, Savanah

Our boys are Luke Patrick and Logan Patrick
OUr girls are Lauren Elizabeth and Leah Nichole

We learned our lesson and did not give the girls the same initials. We had so much trouble with insurances not paying because they thought there was only 1 baby because of the birthdate and initials. It took over a year to settle all of that mess. I would suggest not having the same initials because of this.

Hello and congrats on your twin grandbabies on the way. My girls names are Hope Riley & Grace Nicole. I really wanted a Isabella Grace, but my husband didn't really like it. I also liked Isabel & Garbrielle but he didn't like that either. If they would have been boys we would have named the Gabriel & Michael.

Congrats on your twin grandbabies, my mom is so excited too!

We are expecting boy/girl twinkies. Our names we like right now are:

    Girl: Aleigh
Boy: Ryley ( Our four year old son is named Korey Aidan ) I would like our boys name to end in "ey" like his big brother

The two rhyme together but end differently.

Not sure about middle names yet.....so many to choose from...it was hard enough choosing one name for our son, twice as hard with twins!

It is very difficult to choose 2 names (or at least for us it is). We are having 2 boys and I strongly agree with the previous post about not telling anyone too far ahead unless you have your minds made up 100% about your names. Everyone has their opinions and offers suggestions etc. My Mother and MIL are the worst-they just blatantly come out and say EWW I hate that name. I also have a hard time commiting to names before I actually see the baby. I did this with both of my other kids. I had names picked out and after they were born I picked the name that I thought fit them at the time. This is what we are doing for the boys. We have definate middle names picked out (family names Michael and Cooper) and we have 5 or so first names that we will like. Tell your daughter I wish her luck with her pregnancy and baby naming :)

    Congrats on your grandchildren!

My boys are Bryce Dylan and Simon Logan

If we were going to have girls it would have been:
    Jasman Elizabeth and/or Katrina Nicole

One of the hardest things for us was picking out names. DH didn't like anything and the ones he did like I said no because there was already someone in the family with that name.

Good Luck, I am sure whatever they decide will be wonderful names!

We're still working on ours. We have girl names now. If girls they will be
    Melissa Gayle (Missy for short)
    Rosemary Grace (Rosie for short)

We only have one boy name we can agree on. We have a middle name for a second, but can't find a first name.
    Aaron James
    _____ Warren (grandfather's name)

We did not tell ANYONE the names that we had picked. Like pp said, once you share it with someone and they don't like it then you start to have mixed feelings about the name and why you chose it.

We wanted very uncommon names, my hubby and I have the most common names ever and grew up being called "First Name Last Initial". We wanted to be fairly sure they'd be the only one with their name in Kindergarten.

We did searches on the SSA baby name site. I printed out the top 1000 baby names, and then went through and crossed off all the ones I didn't like. Then my husband took that same list and crossed off all the ones he didn't like. We ended up with 13 names. Anya was one of the names on that list and it seemed to stick out to us. Then we did research on what it meant, and we really fell in love with it. It's a russian form of Anna and it means "favor, grace".

We were stumped thinking of a second name. Finally we decided that we liked the name of my Ob/Gyn's assistant, Dava (pronounced Day-vah). But I had an ex-boyfriend named Dave so that wouldn't work. But we really liked the -va sound. So I found a site where you could do name searches based on how a name started or ended so I searched for names that ended in -va and Ziva was on that list. It's Hebrew and it means "splendid or God is my light". As the days passed it grew on us and we are SO glad that we found the perfect name for her.

But again, we weren't sure how people would react to our unusual name choices so we didn't share them with anyone. So far though everyone who meets them says they have such beautiful names.

Their middle names are after family members, my mom and my husband's mom.
