C-Section Scheduled!

So, today at the OB I asked them to schedule the c-section. In hopes that there was a different attending doctor so that he/she would schedule it for the 26th. Well...It was the same doctor but I spoke with him today instead of the resident and he said, "I don't do c-sections before 39 weeks but we will see what we can do"

15 minutes later the resident comes back saying she did all that she could but they are not taking any scheduled/elective c-sections between Dec 28th-Jan 2nd. So the doctor gave in to the 26th or 27th...but it was ALL booked at this point!

Needless to say...my C-section is scheduled for January 3rd at 1:30PM. I will be 39 weeks 2 days pregnant. YIKES!!
I asked the resident to call L&D and place me on a list if any of the appointments open up on Dec 26th or 27th. So lets hope someone scheduled to have a c-section at UCLA hospital goes into labor soon!!!

Any whoooo, I am just going to try and get in acceptance of all of this and hope for the best but be prepared to meet my little ones on the 3rd.... <_<

 

I can't believe all the hoops they are making you jump through! At least you finally have a date set, and you know it won't go any longer than that! Good Luck and great job brewing them this long! WTG Momma!!

alot of babies being born around chrstmas I hope u can get in sooner! maybe u will go into labour before january!

Wow! You are SO close, hopefully they can get you in even sooner!! It's so exciting to see mommies getting close to holding their babies!

 

Well, you know your body may have other plans & you may go in labor before then. I had a scheduled c-section at 38 weeks, but it turns out I was having contractions. Good luck! I hope everything goes well.

 

Yay! I hope you have happy and healthy babies. And as people keep telling me, your babies could come sooner then that. My c-section is scheduled for the 26th and I am praying that they will hold out until then!
