I'm 24 weeks, and had a section with the twins. When I walk any kind of distance, I can FEEL my inner c-section scar. I asked the doc about it and she said I probably had adhesions and scar tissue that I was feeling. It's very strange and feels almost like a 'stitch' in my side, only way down low. Anyone else?? Have you taken it easy on working out if you have this. She said I could keep working out and just to stop if it hurts. I"m just worried about a ruptured uterus, which I know is rare, but still....

Oh, and she said I'd be offered a repeat section every 5 minutes. She (and my regular OB) are fine with me doing VBAC, but she did say due to legality issues they'd probably try to convince me to go for a repeat. I don't want that and actually don't even want meds. Totaly natural is my 'plan' for now. Of course if the baby is in danger or I go to far past my due date, I'd rather take a section than to risk the baby's life or have to do an induction (won't even consider that) I need some advice on how to keep my wishes abided by in time of pain/stress. I'm not generally a weak person and don't foresee giving in, but you never know......

I can still feel my inner scar. My OB said it's normal and if I start to have pain take it easy. Otherwise it shouldn't be a problem. As far as working out... :rotflmbo: Since having the girls I never was able to get into a routine and then getting pregnant so soon I wasn't about to start anything. Good luck!

I am going for a VBAC and I have certainly made my wishes very clear and the office knows that. I have also told them I want a "drug-less" labor and delivery. They are very okay with that but they do bring up repeat c-section everytime. (I think it's just to cover their butts and make sure I am thoroughly informed.) If it's what you want just stick to your guns. My OB will let me go past my due date (he will NOT induce generally especially with a VBAC patient). He is hoping I go at 38-ish weeks though because he's afraid the baby is going to get really big.

I am in the same boat. I get the feeling that they'd (doctor) prefer I have a repeat c-section. I'm having a big baby. My c-section scar though, as far as i know, is perfect. Perfect for going for a VBAC. So, I'm at least keeping my options open, but am still going for a VBAC. :hug99: I hope it works for you!

I can still feel my inner scar as well. My baby is sitting really low and it bothers me alot lately. I am having a repeat c/s. I couldnt dilate no matter what they tried to do to my body. After 29 hours of labor and I was only at a 4, I dont want to chance that happening again.

    Jackie-
You are getting so close! I wish you a very smooth delivery and can't wait to see/hear some baby news! Take care.

I felt it every now and then and had to sit down a few times because it hurt so bad. It wasn't related to risk of rupture though because I was induced at 41.5 days and it took two days for Dax to be born. As expected, my uterus was just fine.

One note though, once they broke my water the scar really, really hurt. I had already been laboring without meds for about 24 hours at that point and wasn't having any trouble at all. When they broke my water, I guess my scar lost the cushioning from the contractions and it was bad. I definitely won't be letting them break my water this time because I do prefer to go natural and it just wasn't possible with that pain. Later, I read about this happening to another lady so I know I wasn't alone.

During labor, Paul said he heard the nurses mention to the midwives a few times that we should do another c-section. Thankfully, they never said this in my hearing. The midwives saw that I was fine and so was the baby so they were willing to let things run their course until we actually had a reason for a section. We never did.
