C Section Qs

Two more section questions:

I am 10 days post op and now am itching like crazy.. I think it is the tape and shaved hair areas, is this normal?

Also the "flab" that hangs over the scar, ummmmmmm YUCK, does that go away or am I doomed?

 

Oh ya, the itching sucks. Ihad that as well. In fact I still get it some times. As the numbness in my tummy is slowly going away the area gets itchy. I take some benedryl and put some cortizone on it.

 

Ditto to the idea about the dry rolled up washcloth.

As for the flab, I didn't think it was possible but mine is slowly going away. Guess it depends on genetics/body shape. I was pretty fortunate with my first who was a giant baby, lost all the pg weight and within 1-2 years had a flat stomach again.

But if the twinskin doesn't disappear, I may have to dip into the babies college fund for a tummy tuck

 

Mine itched, too! That means it is healing! Yeah!

No, you are not doomed...I didn't have that, although my abs will never be the same....bahhahhhh

I still have this. And I did not have anything like that from my oldest DD, but she was a vaginal birth.

 

I've never had a c/s but I know my sister is always complaining about her c/s scar. I hope that yours will fade away and just not bother you any more.

yes it goes away though I still have MOMENTS of itchy from time to time. at this point, it's either in my head or some sort of healing process?

the flab - i had quite a lot at first. Now, not so much. Now, most people would consider my stomach "flat" but it is nothing compared to what i had pre-pg. I can see a little itty bit of flab that may go away if I ever get to go back to the gym
