Just wondering how long you bled post-partum. I am 2 weeks pp today, and my bleeding seems to have stopped completely.
My bleeding wasn't even too bad to begin with.
I had a vaginal birth 2 years ago and bled for about 6 weeks.

I am exclusively BF with lots of success. Could this be why my bleeding stopped so soon?

    TIA

I didn't have to bad bleeding pp either, but it stopped for awhile and then started up again. My dr said that was normal. Overall the bleeding wasn't to bad. [IMG]

You could just be extra lucky! With my vag delivery I bled for 18 days, but with the twins & my c/s it was more like 11 weeks. Ugh.
Also, I have ebf'd all my girls.

After the first week, it wasn't very heavy, but I think I was still bleeding/spotting until around 6 weeks.

I was EBF as well...but bled for about 8 weeks. Like a PP mentioned, it stopped and then came back...it actually did that a couple of times. After the first week or so, it was pretty lite the whole time.

I can't remember exactly but I know it was probably closer to 8-12 weeks. It seemed like forever! Lucky you!

Well, that is good then. I say, the sooner the better.

    I bled for 3 months!

Every time you bf your body releases oxytocin, which helps shrink your uterus after birth. It's possible that you may be all done with the bleeding! It's also pretty common for your body to stop bleeding for a few days, then continue bleeding later. As long as it's not bright red blood and it's getting progressively browner then it's fine!

Lucky you, if you only bled for 2 weeks though! [IMG]

It was about 9 weeks for me. Very long I felt. And then I got AF three weeks later, lucky me [IMG]

I don't think I bled very long at all -- maybe 2-3 weeks, and then a couple more weeks of spotting. I was surprised.

OTOH, I bled a ton during the c/s (nearly had to have a transfusion). I never thought of this before, but it's a good thing I didn't bleed more after delivery, because I was pretty anemic for about a month as it was.

    Anyway, count yourself lucky! [IMG]

I bled for a couple weeks and it stopped. Then I spotted lightly for a couple more weeks. I think I was all done between 4 and 5 weeks.

I bled for about 6 weeks then had a couple day off and then started my first period.

I don't recall bleeding that long either after my c-section. I remember thinking it a plus compared to my previous vaginal deliveries.
