C-section/bath question

I don't know if I'm in the right forum, but I'll ask anyway . . . I had a c-section 19 days ago. I'm desperately wanting to take a bath. I enjoy my nightly baths, but the OB has said to wait until the bleeding has stopped. When does this happen? It's still lingering. Granted, I'm pumping full force now, where I wasn't in the first week and a half, so maybe that has started it up again (for awhile, there was very little blood). Also now, it's more brown than red (sorry for TMI).

I'm tempted to bathe anyway, but I hesitate. Any advice is appreciated.

My bleeding slowed waaaay down around the 3.5 - 4 week point (I also had a c-section). It was completely gone by the beginning of the 5th week. I couldn't believe it b/c it lasted much longer (7 or 8 weeks) when I had my older DS vaginally.

Hopefully your longed-after bath will be right around the corner! :)

For me the bleeding slowed down around the 5th week by the 6th week, I was able to take a bath. Those nice baths will be coming soon for you!

I stopped just before my 6 week appt and I too had a c-section.

I bled for about 7 weeks after my c-section.
