SO, I am thinking my girlies may be ready to say goodbye to the highchair and ready for the booster seat. It would be nice to put them in a booster and pull up to the table so we can enjoy meals together. Ella tries to climb out sometimes and adrienne leans over and rocks her sister's chair. I think its time. Does anyone have suggestions on a booster they would recommend? If you have a suggestion...what is is that you love about it?

We had the First Years (or maybe it was Safety First?) booster. We actually used them instead of high chairs, so we used them from 6 months to 2 years. They were portable and easy to clean.

Just before they turned two, the girls started insisting on being pushed up to the table instead of using the trays. Then they rejected the seats altogether, and we moved them to Stokke chairs, which they love (even though they are still strapped in -- which WE love).

Anyway, for the age your kids are, I would recommend something like the First Years, so you can still strap them in. The Cooshie ones are nice, but require the kids to actually sit still.

I have been using a booster since they were 1 year old. I LOVE them...so easy to clean compared to the dirt magnets I call highchairs!

We switched to booster seats @ age 2...on their bday ;)

We tried around 3 to remove the boosters, but it made mealtimes a little hairy.

I think ours are safety first...they are the blue ones w/ the yellow tray (although we never used the trays)

We also have the safety first one and have never had regular highchairs, just always used the boosters. And the nice thing is you can take them to other people's houses if you are eating there.

We got rid of the highchairs a few months ago & it's been great! They really love being at the table with us. We have the Fisher Price Healthy Care seats & have been SO happy with them. We got them last year & they've been everywhere with us......really great for camping. I like that they have the buckles b/c ds will hop down unless he's buckled. But then dd is so fascinated with them all she wants to do is buckle up. :) All through dinner we hear, "Buckle! Buckle!" :)

Oh, another thing I like about them is that they fit under my table w/o the tray on them, but the tray is available if we go somewhere like the lake or camping.

We loved our FP Healthy Care Booster Seats at that age! We now have the Cooshie Boosters, which are great for older toddlers.

For my girls we had the first year booster, I thought they were ok. The ones I had food got caught in the seat and I had problems getting it out. I now have the cooshie booster and love it. They don't have straps but I like that they stay on the chair nicely and don't scratch my chairs. My son has been using it since a little after he turned one. My girls started using them a little after they turned 2. We have also used them at the movie theater with my girls so they are high up on the seats and they come with a carrying bag so you can still take them anywhere and are easy to clean.
